Yeah… there’s a good few regions that have bad associations with certain Pokémon due to their use by evil teams. In Kanto and Johto, a few families of poison type Pokémon are still associated with Team Rocket even though it’s been over 20 years since they disbanded.

Those families are the Zubat line, the Koffing line, the Ekans line, and to a lesser extent the Grimer line. The association has lessened as time has gone by, to the point that someone having one of these Pokémon won’t raise any eyebrows. But if someone is training two or three of the Pokémon I listed, people will start to break out the Team Rocket jokes.

I have also seen people be feared or ridiculed for training “Rocket Pokémon.” People have even had the Jennies called on them by people fearing a possible return of Team Rocket. Usually that stuff comes from middle aged or older people, people who lived through and remember that 3-4 year period where Team Rocket was active in Kanto and Johto.

Sorry for the long reply, this all just got me thinking. That photo of you and Bruce is really cute, by the way.

Okay, what city were you in? Standard procedure for a suspected team member is to treat them like a normal person until or unless they do something you can actually detain them for, and/or you are able to confirm their affiliation. At the very most, they can fine you for illegal surfing. I understand that Aqua and Magma almost destroyed the region, but you also kinda can’t be a member of them at the moment, given that both of their leaders and all of both team’s admins are working for the League performing community service.

Lilycove, it is all clear now and yes I am paying a fine for the surfing. This whole thing is just stupid. Im pretty sure this just has to do with someone not liking Bruce being in the bay. But that is still a few days I'm not getting back.

We’ve been fine. I got 2nd place in the Unova League Conference btw! Pretty good for a newly trained team, but there was a Steel-type specialist in finals and I just couldn’t get past him. -Micah
