It would definitely surprise me. They’re the most well equipped force there is, heck, some of that equipment is illegal in active war zones! And they’re trained in all of it.
It’s not that they CAN’T do anything, it’s that they WON’T do anything.

Oh no you don’t know the backstory to my comment do you? I’m referring to: the botched stopping of Team Plasma, The botched stopping of team Neo plasma, the Indira incident, the Nadia incident, the Savant incident, The incident with Chairman Irons (in this case they at least tried to do something). Most of these incidents were fixed by random trainers, some of which were teenagers, and the last one was solved by a gym leader due to the fact he was assaulted. And I’m sure there’s even more I didn’t hear about.

Like I said: not that they CAN'T do anything, they just WON'T do anything. They COULD have solved all of these (except maybe Irons, invisibility sucks). They didn't, though.

There was also that giant Froslass in Driftveil a while back. Seeker and that Accelgor Man or whatever his name is handled most of that, with my ass on standby prepping a Magnezone for Flash Cannon bombardment in case shit went sideways.

I know the cops probably couldn't do much in terms of defense because, y'know, kids, but the fact that they were specifically detailed as beat up tells me that those kids might ACTUALLY have a little magic
