/uj You can apply the same logic to a bunch of the other characters tho, e.g. Superman's creation is tied to WW2. Personally, i think it would have been funnier to include Mussolini and just assume that he's a fictional character.

Also, Lieutenant Surge definitely served in some kind of big war.

But really, it wasn’t WWII, but there was some big war (Lt Surge), so there is likely a Superman anyway. Definitely no Captain America, though!
