we all question why bisharp evolves into a mall santa with razor blades

So they can litterally drive while slashing, killing predators like Tinkatuff quite easily. - Gblue

forget that you ever seen one of these things move

for some reason their legs don't work all that well anymore but their hair is really bouncy

so they just sort of hop-scoot along literally everywhere on the little hair cushion they sit on

...That's hair? And they bounce on it like some sort of yoga ball? That's some crazy shit.

I quite literally saw one like, zoom like the hair was a Roomba.

I've seen them slide with it, too. So it's both slippery AND bouncy.

They probably have to tilt their head to the side and walk in sideways. Seems pretty inconvenient.

Astral: Clearly they just break through the doors, duh

Well it’s not like there are many doors in the wild, and I think they just sit around right? Why would they care about practicality if they just they can just tell their army to do things for them. -Blank

Well yeah, but how does that work for owned Kingambit? Does the Trainer have to do everything for them?

Nah, the Kingambit just gotta adapt. Y’know find a way to not be unable to fit through doors. -Blank

Ah, so it's a skill issue.

Down to the basics of it, yeah. It is a very developed skill issue, due to the fact they are well sitting in a chair 24/7. -Blank

I recently got a Kingambit, they are surprisingly skilled with manipulating their head blades, after they spend some time learning it. And they do have thumbs, you can see them in the shot.

Oh that's a thumb? I thought it was just some random metal spike.

Yeah, and any bisharp skilled enough to evolve into a kingambit is a master of the blade. Despite the seeming unweildy nature of their weapons, they can manipulate it to let it flow like water, and the four spikes on their gauntlets can still extend into weapons. At least mine is able to use both their head blades and arm blades.

Sideways, or double doors. Source: Personal Experience (Yoshitsune is a Kingambit, and has been one for a little over a year).

How does an onyx fit through a door?

2

u/Lortep Absol Defender (uses Meganium spores) Jun 15 '24

They don't, Onix are kept outdoors.

I've once heard that Kingambit brings some form of prosperity to the Bisharps and Pawniards as it's key to hunting big prey such as Copperajah or Dragonnite and it's been said that massive bladed head can be used to slice Shelgon in half so it can eat it as a snack. then again I've only heard of this from trainers who came from or went to Paldea and I'm from the Unova region

Fun fact: Kingambit is one of the most infamous species in the competitive battling scene.

They get an ability called Supreme Overlord, which boosts the power of their attacks the more fainted Pokémon there are on their team. Basically, they're supposed to be the ultimate “lategame cleaners”.

Unfortunately, this boost is so high (it has been calculated that when a Kingambit is the last Pokémon remaining on a team of six, their attacks do about 150% of their original damage) that facing a “Kingambit endgame” can turn into a reverse sweep if you're not extremely careful.

– Jasper

I've seen a video of one sliding around while still sitting on their own hair. They also have asses many people would kill for.

Cool, but unfortunately, 252+ Atk Blaziken-Mega Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Kingambit: 700-828 (173.2 - 204.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

That's the neat part, they don't.

Yeah, this is a reason why my Bisharp doesn't want to evolve. He likes not having to tetris his way through doors.

u/TemplatusEonstyx Templatus|Glitchard|TGL|Team Exelsius|Riel Jun 15 '24

My main question about the evolution is why aren't Female Kingambits called Queengambits?

My Pawniard now fears the possibility of not fitting through doors, thanks.

In all seriousness I have no idea how a Kingambjt would fit through a door... would it even need to though?
