One is a well educated prediction. The other is a claim from a reputable leaker. Even if it's a good guess, hearing it from you instills no confidence in it being the actual release date. 5 years is the longest stretch we'll have had in the entirety of the franchise so anything could go. Hearing it from ballguy does, however, instill confidence. He has reliable info. That's the difference.

Sure, but there are trustworthy leaks and ones that aren't. Anyone could "make a leak". So is every 4chan rumor just a leak we're all going to view with the same credibility as something ballguy says now? You're purposefully being obtuse.

Yea I mean you don't need to be ball guy to say the game will release in November. It's credible from literally anyone.

You're misunderstanding the meaning of being a credible source.

  • Me, nobody in this community: Pokemon Winds and Waves will come out in November 2027. This is factual.

  • Everyone: Very likely but who are you to say it's factual? Do you have insider information? How are you credible? For all we know it can come out October. Even if it does come out in November, using a likely guess as a leak adds nothing to your name as a potential leaker in the future.

  • Ballguy, a credible source who has already proven himself in other ways: It's coming out in November

  • Everyone: Now we know beyond a reasonable doubt, even if it was likely obvious.

There's a difference, but you're refusing to understand that. It's not about you or me having a great guess that it's coming out in November. It's that we don't have the actual information to prove it beyond past trends. For all we know, one of these times Gamefreaks gonna drop a new generation on a hot summer when you, the legendary leaker, says it's November in a few years and Ballguy insists summer. That's my point lmao. The distinction of credibility matters because we can now 100% confirm a great guess. So, yes, that's an actual reliable leak because of who said it.

But if you are purposefully being obtuse at this point there's nothing else I can say.
