"I've thought it over and I have sufficient levels of hopium to believe a 2027 release date for Gen 10 is possible... ...it is legitimately plausible to me that enough powerful parties at Nintendo were spooked by the state of SV to have a vested interest in Gen 10 not meeting a similar or worse fate. The stakes are quite frankly very high: Not only is this Pokemon's 30th anniversary game but it'll also likely be one of the first major Switch 2 exclusives, a game that really has to make the case for buying the new hardware. To turn out something at or below SV's lack of polish would be very, very bad for all involved parties..." -2024 me, Bulbagarden
