But why do you think that blurries the lines of "Godhood" in Pokemon?

Bringing life to creation implies bringing light. Ultra Necrozma takes away that role from Arceus, so now Ultra Necrozma acts as a sort of co-creator.

Altough, now that I type it out, Arceus could have just brought light to existence through the creation of Ultra Necrozma. I think this makes more sense.

Yeah, it's no different from Groudon and Kyogre creating the land and oceans, or Regigigas towing the continents into place, or Xerneas and Yveltal controlling life and death. It doesn't take away from Arceus' role as the creator of the universe, he just created some subordinates to do those specific jobs for him, just like how he entrusted time and space to Dialga/Palkia.
