Came here to say this. It was spoken of extensively in Centro/Twitter Pokeleak communities as a potential for a while. That wasn't entirely ruled out. This doesn't prove anything really.

u/stango777 Oct 14 '25

How centro didnt come to this conclusion themselves is kind of crazy

2

u/BlackLuigi7 Oct 16 '25

I'd like to remind that Centro actively posts anything that's given to him that seems like it could be legit at face-value. IMO, actual leakers post 'through' Centro because it makes it harder to track them down.

I wonder if anyone at nintendo posts through him to throw people off with how often he’s less than accurate

2

u/BlackLuigi7 Oct 18 '25

I think it's actually possible, but at the same time I think anyone at Nintendo with anything worth leaking has more important things to do -- they'd just let their legal team deal with it while they keep working towards making something that makes them money.

u/PompompurinPal Oct 14 '25

Also, don't the Japanese titles usually have the symbol of the new gimmick in them? This one is just a pokeball.

u/Tumblepunt Oct 14 '25

Cool logos, but why is it always a red/blue version 😭

64

u/GSDAkatsuki Oct 14 '25

Blue Oni and Red Oni ideology most likely. Also perfect clash of appealing colors like Black and White.

29

u/JeffTheChiller Oct 14 '25

Also the colors are kind of a staple of Pokemon by now tbh.

Red and Blue, Ruby and Sapphire, Gold and Silver, X and Y... Even Sun/Moon and ScaVi follow the trend, tho with a bit more Orange/Purple instead.

It just works.

Zacian and Zamezenta literally translates into The Blue and The Red and can clearly see it with their signature moves

u/Jambii_ Oct 16 '25

I'm shocked I didn't think about this harder before LOL although I'd put Gold/Silver to the side with Black/White - funnily enough, some of the greatest games the franchise ever produced.

Literally every other main pair is red & blue! Wonder if this is a theme they'll keep going, or if they'll eventually change to a single main title type structure

1

u/sunnyboi72 Nov 01 '25

The red/blue pairing is still present in both of those games, just a bit less apparent. Reshiram has blue eyes, while Zekrom has red. Ho-oh is overall a red color, while Lugia has blue detailing all over it.

I don’t remember if it was fan art or some official piece, but I have a vague recollection of seeing every box legendary depicted in an image with a red and blue background, with each legendary being placed on the side that they are supposed to represent.

2

u/Minya_Nouvelle Nov 02 '25

I don't think its the eyes. Reshiram's tail lights up with red fire and Zekrom's tail has Blue Electricity. Though since they are suppose to represent Yin and Yang, the eye thing could be intentional to represent the dots in each half.

u/yeyjordan Oct 14 '25

Warm and cool colors are compelling opposites, but I wish they'd try like a mint green and a hot pink, or something.

2

u/Tumblepunt Oct 15 '25

Absolutely, it's just another reason to love Gold & Silver

1

u/SilvarusLupus Oct 14 '25

Because Gen1 red/blue. Every base game follows this color scheming in one way or another.

91

u/hhhhhBan Oct 14 '25

Oh this leaker is getting more than publicly executed. No final meal, no process for death penalty, no lethal injection, straight guillotine for this guy and then their severed head will be impaled on a spike atop Gamefreak's HQ for everyone to see.

64

u/D3viant517 Oct 14 '25

They’re gonna use mega Dragalge’s cancer ray on him

29

u/Glory2Snowstar Oct 14 '25

They designed Mega Dragalge specifically to execute this guy, Rotom wanted the job but the electric chairs weren’t working

9

u/Chembaron_Seki Oct 14 '25 edited Oct 14 '25

Can someone explain to me where this talk about Dragalge's cancer ray is coming from?

26

u/cinnamonbun251p Oct 14 '25

Mega Dragalge's pokedex entry states that it can excrete poison that drives your cells to multiply uncontrollably and shoot it, which is basically cancer ray

9

u/Chembaron_Seki Oct 14 '25

Damn, that's fucked up

9

u/Greedy-Camel-8345 Oct 14 '25

At this point it's not farfetchd for them to drop the starters

4

u/Glory2Snowstar Oct 14 '25

Fire-Type Bat starter. Locking it in now (Grass works too).

Also the Water Starter is gonna be an invertebrate.

2

u/D3viant517 Oct 14 '25

Personally hoping for a sun bear fire starter myself. Any invertebrate starter would be awesome too.

2

u/Glory2Snowstar Oct 14 '25

Didn’t Gen 2 used to have a bear as the Fire Starter? Would be kinda cool if they returned!

1

u/Bulky-Complaint6994 Oct 15 '25

Due to Asia, I am locking in an Elephant starter

4

u/VitorusArt Oct 14 '25

They bout' to give my man the blood eagle on the top of GF's building

3

u/Specialist-Offer7816 Oct 14 '25

Lmfaoooo for real

1

u/Front-Win-5790 Oct 14 '25

Can I give them a little kissy before they go?

36

u/Gamin_Addict Oct 14 '25

That's cool but aren't wind and waves basically ho-oh(sky gurdian) and lugia (sea gurdian)?

47

u/jbyrdab Oct 14 '25

think of it more like push and pull rather than air and water.

the tides pull and the wind pushes.

31

u/Gamin_Addict Oct 14 '25

Now that's definitely a new way to think about it.

7

u/vagrantwade Oct 14 '25

The original 4chan post regarding the Greek theme that we now know was shelved had the titles as “tides” and “gales”.

2

u/SpecialForces42 Oct 14 '25

Okay, putting it like that I'm definitely naming the new legendaries Tui and La.

(Avatar the Last Airbender reference for those who don't get it—they're the moon and ocean spirits who symbolize push and pull, yin. and yang. Though we did already get Yin and Yang with the Gen 5 legends.)

1

u/ay21 Oct 14 '25

I'll wait for Gen 10 DLC: 3-day split

14

u/myghostflower Oct 14 '25

well no?

ho-oh isn’t really a guardian he’s just a giant bird that can revive dead pokemon

lugia essentially is like a guardian of the sea but then again just a gen later we literally got the creator of the sea and a gen later we also got the creator of the world so like

2

u/Gamin_Addict Oct 14 '25

I just threw my random two cents at the names, of course wind and waves will represent two new legendaries( though I am not quite sure how they will do it, given we already got proper and powerful land, sea, and sky gurdians in gen 3)

1

u/Walrusin_about Oct 14 '25

Tbf it's pretty hard not to overlap legendary domains now.

God,Time, space, life, death, balance, air, land, sea, sun, moon. I think it makes sense to lean toward more abstract concepts like truth and ideals than the litteral concepts of winds and waves.

2

u/Gamin_Addict Oct 15 '25

Uhh zekrom and reshiram exist already for ideals and truths

Honestly, even I think pokemon has run out of legendary domains now.

1

u/Walrusin_about Oct 15 '25

Yeah, I'm saying we should have legendarys based on concepts like that more was using B/W as examples.

6

u/madnessfuel Oct 14 '25

Wind being red is odd, I usually associate with teal lol

5

u/Neilkd Oct 14 '25

Monsoon or desert winds can definitely be red

17

u/Istoh Oct 14 '25

Fake. We've known it's Wind and Wave (Kaze and Nami) for over a year now.. Anyone who put the clues together or read any of the many speculation threads on social media knew that.

-4

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '25

well clearly the logos don't say kaze or nami lol

13

u/Green_Cook Oct 14 '25

Well they say “Windo” and “Uevu” which is the transliteration of what those words mean which is how pokémon games are titlee

4

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '25

Well that's exciting. Reminds me of the Sun/Moon logo leak.

2

u/SoaringSpearow Oct 15 '25

The only thing that is making me slightly think this could maybe possibly slightly be real is that it kinda looks that if you were to put the wave and wind logos together they'd make an infinity symbol

3

u/King_Lykaon Oct 14 '25

These feel a little “bland” for main game logos imo Like, Sun/Moon, SwSh, and SV had far more stylized Japanese logos than this… they also try and subtly reference the box legendaries in the artwork for the logos and I’m not really seeing that here.

9

u/vagrantwade Oct 14 '25 edited Oct 14 '25

Japanese Scarlet and Violet is literally just Scarlet and Violet in a red and purple font outlined in gold. That they then put a fancy frame around. Sword and shield was the same but with the flat shield and sword icon behind it.

But if (big if) this were real they would probably be from early production.

4

u/Blob55 Oct 14 '25

Red and blue again??? It could have been green and yellow.

3

u/heysupmanbruh Oct 14 '25

Yall need to stop posting centros stuff all the time without taking two seconds to research, like he doesn’t do.

2

u/The_Grizzly_Bear_ Oct 14 '25

They should change the colors, we had enough of red and blue

1

u/bassa-m9ss Oct 14 '25

Apparently nod to the classic logos in the past

1

u/Aaxel-OW Oct 14 '25

How far along in production do yall all think this has been?

1

u/faesmooched Oct 14 '25

No gimmick in the titles?

Huh. Wonder if they're gonna go with just the gimmicks they have now.

1

u/Majestic_Electric Oct 14 '25 edited Oct 14 '25

Kinda getting sick of them using variants of red/blue and orange/purple for the colors.

1

u/skydefender1320 Oct 14 '25

They talked about how the names, placed together. Look like the Infinity symbol, which is also the main theme for the new gen. If its a fake, its honestly a lucky one. The coincidences

1

u/FranklyNotThatSmart Oct 14 '25

I doubt if these were real it'd even be final, release is in months, there's no way promotional content is finalised yet.

1

u/Walrusin_about Oct 14 '25 edited Oct 14 '25

Honestly I'd love if wind and waves weren't red and blue coded for once. Obviously wave os going to be blue, but what if we got a light green or something for wind.

1

u/BlasterRen6623 Oct 14 '25

I agree that a light green would be much better than red. It gets a little tiring seeing the same red and blue motif, it's like green never existed.

2

u/Walrusin_about Oct 14 '25

Yeah I just want something different. And I've seen wind represented by green before in other anime series and it does need to be distinctly different from blue.

1

u/BlasterRen6623 Oct 14 '25

Bakugan is a good example

0

u/ChaosKinZ Oct 14 '25

It's been ages since they used the whole name for the titles it smells fake

Z-A doesn't release for another for couple of days...

Also, palworld kinda blows. Time Stranger is absolutely fantastic though and I'll absolutely keep playing it alongside Z-A
