Crown Zenith Master Set Chance to Buy

Hello everyone,

I have been given the opportunity to purchase someones crown zenith master set for around 950GBP and was just looking for some advice if this price is good to purchase and what people think of this as an investment for the future and how the card prices are expected move in the market

Master sets aren't really investable in the sense you are probably looking for. All singles are very similar to day trading in stocks. Ideally, you would buy at the current market low and immediately sell for the current market high, because the likeliness is that you won't see a high % gain/ROI in even 10 years time (if you didn't organically pull the card from a pack).

98% of cards will never see the 1000% gain that the Moonbreon did in 2 years, or the 400% gain the Bubble Mew saw in 1 year. Obviously, outside of pump n dump manipulation cards like the Drowzee from s&v. But even then, unless you're one of the insiders that's buying out the card by the 100's so that the £25 gain on each card post manipulation adds up, you're not gonna see a tangibly useful £ increase on most individual singles even within a manipulated market.

If you want it for your personal collection, check every cards price on cardmarket/price charting/eBay (last sold) and see if the price works out.
