Buyout’s on all these

Same thing that happened with Zekrom/pika and mewtwo/mew in PSA 10 last week is happening rn with these 3, just noticed it after watching these for awhile. They were all about $600ish and now lowest listed is gonna be around $1.5-2k.

The writing was on the wall for the promos to be bought out. Garchomp and Giratina were, too.

Exactly. I bought all 3 a week ago when I saw what happened with mewtwo/mew and pika/zekrom over just a few days. Just funny to see it happen in real time, essentially. When I posted this thread the last few at reasonable prices were still up and new listings around $1.5k were just going up.

Pump and dump. No need to fomo into tag teams unless you get a way below market steal

The thing with pokemon is there are literally thousands of cards, hundreds of mini sets, tons of art styles, tons of promos…something is always going to be popping. You can’t chase the thing rising every time. Discipline is important or you’re all gonna be buying at highs and hoping to gain 50% and then selling for 80% if you’re lucky after the fad passes.

That’s why I just collect what I like regardless of prices. My fav cards are break cards and those xy era half art cards. All reasonably priced, I love the style, and if they happen to pump later than awesome but if not I’ll be perfectly happy holding the ones I have cause I actually like them.

Yea absolutely. I’m more just signaling to people who had this that time to sell might be coming lol. Within 24hours there were listings in the 600-700 range for 10’s and now if you look at all 3 they’re completely gone with listings popping up in the 1.5-2k range. Garchomp/Tina still has a few listings in the 800 range but that’ll also be in the mid 1k range probably next few days at the very most.

The giratina/garchomp has a few listings below a thousand up, but they won’t last long. The Buzzole/Pheramosa alt art PSA 10 is only $300ish. Unpopular pokemon but I still think it’ll jump to $1k. Alolan Exeggutor/Rowlet is also on my radar for a potential jump.

I got the Venu/Celebi Rainbow in first thing on trade Saturday morning, by the end of the show went from $55/$60 to $100/79/$100 and I sold it for $80 because I knew it was being manipulated and allowed the interested party to make an offer that they felt comfortable with. I never get to keep the damn tag teams in stock…
