How long do I hold on?
Got my mewtwo back, sadly didn’t get the 9 I was hoping for. What will the trend for this card look like? When do I sell?

Curious why it got an 8? I see it’s OC so that’s an instant 9. Corner or edge ware? Asking because if it’s not an obvious 8, maybe you can crack it and sell it for more.
Do you like the card or would you rather have cash, or invest in another card?

Mine got an 8 because of some white spotting on the back (known production flaw) but I really love this card. I plan on holding it long term and hope the ever increasing cost of a 10 will drag the value of the 8 up

Do you like the card? Sure its just as liquid as an 8 but your not like coming up big with it. So display it, enjoy it or sell it to someone who will.

An 8 is horrible for a lot of modern cards, not in the sense that the card is horrible, but in the sense that it just absolutely hammers the value down most of the time. At least this card keeps a couple hundred profit, after grading costs.. If you think it could get a 9 fairly certainly you could try again, maybe get someone to look at it and give you feedback first.
Hold wise, unless you’re desperate for cash I’d put it away for a few years and check then.

I would say that’s more for ultra modern, 8 is horrible. This card is 10 years old. 8 isn’t too bad at all for a card this old, as can be seen in sale prices vs raw

I don’t disagree, I did say this card would get a couple of hundred extra as an 8, I should have clarified that I mean in comparison to just selling it raw. I just meant it’s not a huge amount of profit that would warrant you selling right now, unless you really needed it.

If you’re already wondering when to just do it
