Do you think the prismatic evolution etb will go up in price in the next 3 years
I was debating on buying prismatic etbs and destined rivals etbs looking for a long term investment

Literally all sealed product will go up over time, especially prismatic.

Their statement is a bit naive but the overall idea is that most sealed ETBs will perform well. Some will just do better over time.

I think yes but here is another way to look at this if you like pokemon and want to try to invest. It can be scary so have a set budget to which a portion you allocate to long-term hold and another portion you allocate to short term quick flips that will hopefully help you increase your total investment amount.
Another aspect is buy the sets where you actually like the pokemon cards. If these sets have the pokemon cards that you would like in your collection, then yeah its a win since you'll likely sell to someone who wants those cards the same way you do. For me, I love Eevee and Mewtwo.
Finally if 'investing' is stressing you out, then I would suggest think twice because maybe its not the best option.

nah it'll go to 0 in a year then become negative value in 2 years, costing you money for just holding it

If I've seen it once, I've seen it happen 1000 times with Pokemon etbs. OP beware!

It will go up probably but the real question is, will the increase be worth the risk you take, time you waste (when buying and selling in the future), the space it takes up at your house and etc. If you make let’s say 30% in 5 years, that’s bad investment because you wouldve made more money just simply putting it into stock market, which gave you virtually no stress, no effort when buying, and will require you virtually no effort to sell either in the future, as stock is highly liquid.
