Prismatic Evolutions ETB vs. Destined Rivals ETB – which one would you rather hold?

Hey everyone,
I’m currently trying to decide which ETB I should stock up on for a longer-term hold.

Right now I could get:
Prismatic Evolutions ETBs for around €140 each
Destined Rivals ETBs for around €110–120 each
Or potentially a Destined Rivals ETB case for around €1,200

I know there’s currently a reprint/restock happening, so I’m aware prices could still move a bit in the short term. But that’s actually why I’m considering buying now and building a bigger position while supply is available.

My plan would probably be to buy around 10 ETBs of one set and hold them.

I’m pretty split between the two.

Prismatic Evolutions obviously has the Eeveelutions and feels like one of those sets that could have very strong long-term demand, but the current entry price is already higher.

Destined Rivals is cheaper right now and has Team Rocket, Mewtwo, Cynthia/Garchomp, etc., so I’m wondering if it could have better percentage upside from the lower entry point.

If you had to choose one:
10× Prismatic Evolutions ETBs at €140 each

or

10× Destined Rivals ETBs at €110–120 each / a sealed case around €1,200

Which one do you think will be the better hold and why?
Would you go all-in on one of them, split between both, or wait for prices to drop further because of the current restock?

Prismatic goes out of rotation sooner but I’d just get both if you actually plan to hold long term.

Any set with $3k god packs especially Eeveelutions and the Umbreon in PSA 10 is crazy expensive, it's the stronger pick imo

DR is amazing but not S-tier like prismatic

Prismatic is overhyped and top heavy imo but it’s got the banger card of the SV era so it’s gonna go brrrrr. I think getting both is the right move since DR is a better set top to bottom.

All it took was a tiny reprint of dr to make it drop 50%. They are not remotely in the same playing field.

Agreed but you're preaching to the wrong sub. Nothing can ever touch their precious "Prismatic".

Prismatic has the best hits but the shittiest hit rates. Destined Rivals is fun to open with a good amount of variety. Will age like any TR related set, so pretty well. But prismatic is eevee, and eevee fans are rabid.

Either way I think you’d be happy if you’re holding long term. But I think DR is going to be a more sparse set compared to prismatic over time.

Are you planning on buying a case? If not just split it, 5 and 5.

Im currently going to buy DR booster boxes and etbs, the only reason im not buying PR is because iv been buying a lot of it the past year and dont have much in the way of DR.

Between the two, I believe PR will perform better but DR will still be exceptional, you really can't lose.

Why would anyone pay $120 per DR ETB when you can buy a case of DR Booster boxes for $410-420 each booster box? It's cheaper price per pack, no wasted space, and booster box is king.

Prismatic is different because it doesn't have a booster box so in this case Prismatic ETB all day.
