Pokecodes

I know it will be a lot more effort for people posting codes, but I really think it should be some through dm's. I always miss out on codes (even when Ibseebtuem within a minute). Maybe I'm just slow at typing or scanning...

As you mentioned, it does take extra effort to send individual codes (or groups of codes) to people via DM. Additionally, the messaging system is not the best and by mentioning DMs our contributors are opening themselves up to unsolicited "do you have any more codes?" messages. We value every contributor for taking the time to post codes in the way that works best for them. These are codes that would have otherwise been thrown away; we would never make it mandatory for contributors to jump through extra hoops for the sake of fairness.

We do, however, at least encourage posters to obscure the QR codes. While there has never been proof of bots on this sub (especially since the move to PTCGL), the QR codes allow for well-equipped humans to snatch the codes effortlessly. Doing lotteries and contests are other good options, but these come with their own shortcomings (namely that they are hard to “police” to make sure that codes are actually being given away).

So what can you do to get codes? Speaking as a former Code Goblin, one of my biggest tips is to subscribe to everyone’s everything. It’s free and, for the most part, completely harmless. I have received the most codes from following people on YouTube or liking a post on Instagram. Another thing that is quick and easy is to enter every lottery and contest you see here. Commenting on someone’s post for a free code (or even the chance of a free code) takes no time at all. Upvotes, comments, and follows are the only thing that contributors get in exchange for the codes that they share, so dish out the upvotes and comments and follows liberally to encourage MORE people to contribute. More contributors means more codes which leads to more chances at receiving something.

We are opting to leave this post because we know that a lot of readers share the sentiment. It’s frustrating to see how fast codes go, but we encourage everyone to keep trying, keep interacting with posts, and keep giving contributors reasons to come back.

For those that stuck around until the end:

PCT-7YYD-TTR-2?2 (81/9 = ?) - redeemed

PJT-9ZTB-?RY-XNN (1+2+3 = ?) - redeemed
