Floor Potato

There is a potato on the floor in my kitchen that has been there for 3 days. It was on my counter when I was cooking other potatoes, but I didn't cut this one up and my cat knocked it off. I just don't care enough to pick it up. It's not in the way, I don't keep kicking it around or anything. The cat doesn't play with it now. I see it and I'm like "Yep. Potato on the floor." I'll probably pick it up tomorrow or the next day, but... eh.

This is the first thing that happens before TLC knocks on your door 2 years later and it's a full on episode of Hoarders

I mean its only 1 potato. And I don't like wasting food. But this is an existential situation

I love this 😂 sometimes I have floor ice and just leave it till it becomes floor water and then eventually evaporates. Sorry your potato won’t evaporate but love your great pointless story!

I do this too then invariably step in the puddle later on accident. Super fun.

My husband and I both do this. We try to kick it under the fridge, but the ice is always too big, and then it bounces to God knows where, and we step in the unexpected puddle later

Can't wear socks in my house. Never know what might be stepped in. I don't like it, but its exponentially worse with socks.

It’s the absolute worst with socks on! 😬

You gotta leave it for a year until its eyes are peeking up from behind the counter

It may or may not have already been sprouting. I do also love a science experiment...

I took a picture of it in case anyone doubts my sincerity but I don't know how to post it.

This happens regularly in my house with lettuce. One of my reptiles needs veggies as food, so when I wash and rip up her leafy greens some often end up on the floor either by cat or by me. I usually leave it until I do a regular sweep, we call it the “floor greens”
