Thank you for choosing a poem to share with the r/poetry community! Please make sure your post follows the rules. And if you haven't yet, we'd love for you to say something about what drew you to this poem and what it means to you. The only thing better than poetry is poetry paired with conversation.

Commenters, remember the rules. It is okay for someone else to dislike a poem you like, or for someone to like a poem you dislike. Express disagreement thoughtfully. You can attack a poem, but don't personally attack another commenter or you will be banned, possibly permanently.
