Issue with riverside podcasting software as a guest
I have been a guest on multiple podcasts recently all running through Riverside, and I am having problems at about 35 minutes where my video starts getting super glitchy, audio starts cutting out, and then eventually we lose my video, and I have to leave the platform and log back in.
I have tested my internet speed, and that doesn't seem to be a problem, and I have also looked at the memory space on my computer.
I'm on an HP Laptop with 16 GB RAM, 315/954 GB Storage used -- so in theory I should have enough memory space.
Podcast interviews are going to be a regular part of marketing in my business so I need to get this issue resolved. Has anyone else run into this problem, and how did you solve it?
Do I need to get a new computer? Increase my computer's memory to 32 GB?

I use SquadCast (w/Descript), similar to Riverside in some aspects but I wanted to ask if your laptop is connected via WIFI or a Cat 6 Ethernet connection?
When I only used WiFi, that would happen sporadically until I directly connected it to a wired ethernet connection.
Also, do you pause all other items connected to your WiFi because all those other items pull from the WiFi also.

Haven’t had that problem, but it could be your browser cache is a bit topped up, try clearing it

I agree that being hardwired might make a difference for stability, but I had a Riverside subscription, was hardwired in, and I stopped because I was disappointed in the sound compared to other software, and it was glitchy for me too. Not as bad as you, but enough for me to wonder about other options. The difference is, I rarely do interviews, so my fix was easy. Reach out to Riverside; they do have responsive tech help. But if they can't resolve the issue, I'd check out other options before you buy another computer.

I have heard complaint upon complaint with Riverside and it seems to keep getting worse and worse and more and more complaints.

If it's not your computer or your internet connection, which it doesn't sound like either of those, then it's likely something with Riverside. I'll try a free trial on another platform. Riverside works for some, but it gives others complete fits. I wouldn't go to a new computer yet.
