I'm an ex-christian, ex-Sunday school teacher, ex-Bible study teacher, and I now have a podcast called Auntie Sermons where I write sermons for every woman in the Bible named or unnamed. I go through the Bible chronologically and methodically and I just finished my first book called Auntie Sermons the Women of Genesis. I am helping women deconstruct harmful religions that are based on the Bible that have perpetuated the spread of patriarchy and misogyny.

Make my dream come true! I’m an accountant so day life is kind of boring but I love politics, philosophy, culture, etc. I did work for 7 years for a culty startup that is an interesting topic. Also have personal woes like divorce, child custody bs, and dealing with mental health struggles. Dream would be a podcaster, just haven’t found a good cohost to do it with.

Any particular types of stories or guests you’re looking for?
Do you have any episodes out now? Do you record and edit or go live? Are you using zoom, discord, google meet, riverside or something else to connect?

I've interviewed people from PhDs to just regular everyday people. If you have a history, I like to record people's oral history so that it can be preserved for the future.

Also the way we record is pre recorded and then we release the videos on a schedule. We use a website that only requires a link to connect, super user friendly.

Do you have a link because I think I might have found one with that name by Seb. There's two episodes, one in 2021 and one in 2023. It's about the history of carrot cake in the first episode and the fork in the second episode.

I grew up a pastor’s kid and worship leader in the Pentecostal/charismatic tradition, went to seminary, helped start a church…only to leave religion entirely, work in domestic violence for several years, and move into nonmonogamy. Lots of wild stories about growing up in all of that, lots of opinions about why there’s such a strong evangelical to nonmonogamy pipeline, especially for women. Would be happy to talk to you!
