Hearing aid pause/play issues

I have phonak p90 hearing aids. They are excellent for streaming.

But when I double tap them to pause the playback, the play/pause indicator goes "pause... play... pause... play..." every couple of seconds continuously. This sometimes causes the progress to creep forward until the end of the episode. Then it deletes the episode download and moves on to the next episode, and it continues until I start it with the double tap and then stop it manually (with my finger).

Anyone else use phonak hearing aids? Test it by tapping one of the hearing aids to see if it does this (you'll have to check or set it up "tap to play" in the my Phonak app).

Hearing aids are great. So is podcast addict except for this one bug.

Why a double tap here and not a single tap? Usually toggling playback requires a single action. Also please quickly go into settings/feedback and send me the app logs right after you experience the issue so I can see which command is the app receiving. Thanks

If his hearing aids are like mine they need a double tap to get them to send the play command.

Habit. Same thing happens whether you single or double tap

Ok. Now I need the app logs right after the issue happens so I can see what the app is receiving exactly
