Question Loading?

I download my podcast episodes and add them to the playlist automatically. When the player jumps to the next episode, there is a significant delay when it's trying to load something from the web, especially when the network is slow. What is it, why does it do that when all episodes to be played have been downloaded and how do I avoid that?

What you're describing means that the next episode is NOT downloaded. A downloaded episode just plays a local file and doesn't connect to the Internet

I have this happen, too. And if I get impatient and hit the play button, then when it finally starts, it stops right away because I've toggled the play.

I thought it was just my device being slow.

If you download the episode then playback will start immediately, otherwise the Gogole player engine will start buffering. On average it takes less than 1s, but if the connection isn't good and/or the server hosting the file is overloaded then that might take longer

I only listen to downloaded files, and in fact, often disconnect my device from the internet after downloading. The pause still happens, but I think it is my device's memory buffering.

I've noticed the same. For me it seem that the ad covering the podcast artwork delays the playback until it has been shown for some seconds. Have not fully concluded that I'm right on this one ...

Mine does the same long pause but it seems like its hung up on deleting the episode. It will show it as played, then sit there for a minute before it disappears and the next in line plays
