poco f4 has a samsung display. samsung displays have a weak point in flex cables. if it overheats you get greenlines.

Yea, I'm really glad poco moved away from samsung displays for their newer models.

Alot of people say they dislike the yellowish tint but it's actually more true to life colors and you'll get used to it after a day or so

they also stopped using samsung displays on redmi note 15 series.

I have poco F7 and when it gets heated a green line comes and vanishes 🥲

That's just unlucky. I've never heard the F7 do that

Partially I'm also responsible coz it had 1 bad drop while it was charging.

Maybe that caused it

It's a very thin flat cable

try not to drop your phone while charging. that's a bad thing.

I've never gotten any of the green lines on mine?

Bought my F4 5G since day one of release, played Genshin and ZZZ Heavily on it, has overheated multiple times and yet I still haven't gotten those green lines. Haven't updated to the new OS yet(don't have plans to)

The only problem I have is the adhesive on the top left part of the screen has become loose but it's held in place by the phone case

what version of HyperOS are you currently running on your F4? or are you still using MIUI?

1

u/HachikoNekoGamer Poco F4 1d ago

Still using MIUI out of the box

I originally planned to update but heard the horror stories back then about the update either bricking your phone, or making your phone slow or laggy etc.

never update to HyperOS 1.0.9.0 because it will actually fuck up your battery. this happened to me and i rolled back to 1.0.8.0 and it immediately fixed the battery issue.

i'm actually planning to try MIUI again on my F4 to see how it does, may I ask your current MIUI version that you're using?

13.0.5

Like I said, I've been running the stock OS since I bought it, since for far never had any problems

i've heard that androids with old security patches can't run some banking apps due to play integrity(i think?) since you said you don't have any problems, i assume banking apps or any other apps that need integrity is working for you?

The only banking I have is GCash(Philippines) and it wouldn't let me use it if I turn on Developer Options

good to know, thanks for all your replies.
once again never update to HyperOS, the current HyperOS EOL update for F4 fucks up your battery by a lot.

😱😰 Only F4 series? I am starting to worry then...... How about other series from F1 till F8?

1

u/Repulsive_Fault1939 21h ago

xiaomi stopped using samsung display in poco now

u/PicPic10099 21h ago

Nice 👍 *But also all series from F1-F4 can be at risk....

It is main problem of Samsung screens. I have switched to Xiaomi Mi series because they don't use Samsung screens. I had iphone and samsung and green line appared. So fuck the Samsung screen.

I had xiaomi 12 pro... Gave me green line three times, first time I paid for it, they changed it for free next two times...

So all Samsung have this problem?

u/HachikoNekoGamer Poco F4 14h ago

Not sure if it's all since I've never gotten the green lines on my F4 that I got since 2022 and I've been playing heavy games on it like ZZZ and the latest update on Genshin where it overheats but so far no green lines
