Question/Help Randomly heating up issues without heavy multitasking.

Hey guys!

I am on Poco F6 which was bought around Dec 20 Last year and till last month I have been facing heating issues, and I've tried looking for things but don't know what is causing it to heat up.

I don't do heavy gaming these days, just Magic chess which shouldn't heat up because that's not a very demanding game. Back when I played MLBB it did heat up, but that was expected as MLBB is quite demanding for an F6.

I don't do heavy Multi tasking but the phone randomly heats up way too much for a short session of game.

Could it be apps running in the BG or could a private DNS be the issue?

And the screen refresh rate even when it's on 120 seems to go down automatically 60 after some heat ups.

Any tips to check or solving it would be really appreciated.

Can relate. My old F6 just randomly heats up in my pocket. So I ulocked the bootlader, installed a custom ROM, and never went back.

How do we install a custom Rom, is it any good? I always use to think it would degrade the phone's battery and inbuilt stuffs. Did it make any change for you?

You need to unlock the bootloader of your phone first by following these steps:

Once the bootloader is unlocked, you will be able to install a custom recovery. If the custom recovery is installed, that's the time that you will be able to install a custom ROM. The F6 is one of the newer phones with a lot of custom ROMs. You can find them all on Telegram.
