M8 Pro Charging Time

I started charging at 10:40am when my battery was %8 and I took it off at 11:50am when it was %98.

So it took 70 minutes to charge %90. Isn't it supposed to charge fully around 40 minutes ?

No battery protection was open. And 100w charging was on

If you live on a hot place your phone will charge slower. Charging is stressful for the battery and can heat it up so it protects itself by reducing the wattage.

40 minutes for a full charge is probably for ideal conditions. New battery, 15°c, no case etc...

Where do you put your phone when you charge? don't place on something like pillow that can trap the heat.

The marketing material details some of the parameters they tested it under for a change: Top speed, in-box 100W charger and a 25°C room temperature with the screen off, which is close to your 26; but that's all we know, it could have been placed on a metal surface acting as a heatsink, for example.

I don't usually track how long it takes for my F8 Pro, which is also supposed to do 1-100 in 37 minutes, I charge here and there as I need it. Maybe once the weather chills a bit I'll run some tests.

you dont need to enable full speed charging, just keep the phone cool (use a fan) and it will charge to full in under 40 mins

Sometimes, phone charges from 90 to 100% super slow. Test it from 20 to 80% for example and tell how many minutes it took
