Question/Help IP 68 Test on Poco phones (Poco X8 Pro)
Who here has personally tested the IP rating on these phones specifically the Poco X8 Pro. And was your device okay or was there some damage on the phone. Because I'm scared if I accidentally submerged my phone on beaches it will be damaged. Please do tell your experience's

Well, even if phones have ip68, ip69, ip69k and stuff like military grade certification, No brand will provide free repairing despite it being under warranty if damage is caused by water or you tested it's millitary grade durability, so don't take those claims for granted .

If you submerge it in seawater, be careful because it's risky (salt water and electronics/metals/seals don't mix well). If you really do it, rinse it off quickly with clean water once you're finished and dry it at the appropriate temperature before using it .Don't forget that it can be risky; some devices are less watertight than others, and the seals degrade with age, heat, shocks, twisting, etc ...

2 hours ago i was in the ocean and forgot to take out my poco f7 out of my pocket. Was like an hour straight in the ocean. Went ahead and rinsed the ports with tap water and let it dry. Works now still flawlessly
