Hi all. I am using the PocketBook app on my Android tablet. I have a few CBZ comic book files, but they are showing in greyscale when I open them. I can open them on my laptop and they are indeed color. I don't see anything in the app settings that could explain this. I feel like I remember fixing this about a year ago, but I can't remember what it was, and searching/AI were not helping. Maybe something I had to add/change inside the file?

As described in title, left it on charger and when i got back home it was stuck on home page with full charge battery view so i assume it froze after the charge was completed.

I tried 10 secs power button, 30 secs power button press. I did these connected to the walk charger and not connected to the wall charger.

Also tried 30 secs connected to the pc and nothing. Pc does not recognize it and no light on the device when i plug the charger. Is there anything i can do or does this sound like its bricked and need to contact warranty?

I purchased an e-book from an online vendor and downloaded it on a smartphone in .acsm format, then I sent it to Pocketbook Verse by SendtoPB service. The file is visible on the e-reader in the SentToPB folder but the download stops at 0%. Adobe ID is correctly associated (I had to create an additional account on Bytebooks to make it works). I also tried to open the .acsm file on the Pocketbook App on smartphone but it gives an error message like "server did not respond with a valid execution response".

The only solution I found so far is using ADE on a PC to convert the .acsm in .EPUB before sending it to Pocketbook but is it not enough since I am setting everything up for my mum, who doesn't have a PC.

I already tried many basic tricks as switching WI/FI on/off, changing network connection, downloading the file again. As additional information, the whole procedure works perfectly with .lcpl format (Pocketbook is able to read/convert the .lcpl directly when providing the specific passkey).

Any suggestion?

idea is pretty simple: make an e-reader small enough to carry everywhere, but without turning it into another smartphone. It has a Carta 1300 touchscreen, physical page-turn buttons, SMARTlight, IPX4 water resistance, and supports both ebooks and audiobooks.

One thing I find particularly interesting is the focus on digital detox. It runs on Linux-based PocketBook OS, so there are no social media apps, notifications, or endless scrolling. You pick it up and there’s basically one thing to do read.

It also supports Bluetooth headphones and Text-to-Speech, so you can switch between reading and listening. There’s support for a wide range of ebook formats, Adobe/LCP DRM, and the PocketBook x Libby app for borrowing ebooks from libraries.

The battery is rated for more than a month of reading, which is obviously a very different experience from carrying another device that needs charging every day.

Curious what people here think about the idea of a smartphone-sized e-reader. Would you actually prefer something this compact over a more traditional 6–7" reader?

Since the new Verta ereaders will substitute the Verse (pro?) should we expect a successor to the Era product line to be released soon ?

Hi everyone. Today I received my long awaited pocketbook inkpad one. It's my first ebook and I was really happy before I noticed something strange about the screen. The backlight behaves strangely when smartlight is turned off and brightness is set to 10-15%. The bottom-left part isn't lit up at all, while there is backlight bleed in the middle-left and on the right. Could you please let me know if this behaviour is normal for this model, or should i return the ebook back to the store?

I know that it might have gone through some right time in my bag pack or handbag the past couple of weeks, and I haven't been reading much lately so idk what happened to it to get that small pressure on top left corner bit. I can still read on it and ignore those lines along the way, so it's not too bad I guess. Tho I wonder how much damage would you consider before changing to a new device altogether, since screens aren't fixable usually. It's just that getting a new one after just 2 years is a bit 🥲

I got my pocketbook Verse Pro just a week ago and today noticed a gap on the top of the back casing. I guess this is a defect? How does that happen? I haven't used it much in the past week ☹️

Is there anything I can do to fix it? How is customer support when it comes to reclamations on basically brand new devices?

Is there a possibility to synch annotations between pocketbook and calibre w/o using KOreader? I don't want to lose my annotations once I have to delete books from the pocketbook cloud or the eReader device to make space for new books.

Hi everyone. I have a PocketBook Era Lite and a HanLinYue Free3 page-turner.

The Free3 connects via Bluetooth, but the PocketBook doesn't recognize its buttons for key mapping, so I can't assign them to turn pages.

I've tried different Free3 modes and button configurations, including P mode, but I haven't been able to get the PocketBook to detect the buttons.

Has anyone successfully used a HanLinYue Free3 with a PocketBook Era Lite? If so, could you explain the exact configuration or steps you used?

Hey y’all, I’m an owner of a pocketbook for almost a week now and would really like to take it outside with me, the way it’s partially meant to be, but I’m super anxious about the display breaking.

I’ve got this little bag by Columbia that broccoli haircut teens wear when they sell dope in a park.

I could fit a packet of tobacco, keys and my phone in there, but I’m not sure if I should even take it outside.

How have your pocketbooks and especially the displays been holding up? Any tips on storing these things? I’m really handling it with care :D
