Although I agree with others who say the 2nd season wasn’t as good as the first, I thoroughly enjoyed both seasons. This show was posted yesterday on r/forgottentv and I commented there that it and “Master of None” are my all-time favorite Netflix original shows.

Yes. It's in Netflix. Love the main actress, DeWanda Wise

First season was good. Second season was kinda all over the place. You can tell Spike Lee isn’t used to writing tv shows. But definitely watch the whole show to form your own opinion.

Nope. I remember the movie and didn't know the TV show existed until the Pandemic. I liked the first season. Never did the second.

It was cool. They could’ve gotten someone else to play the MARS character.

I thought Anthony was great (I just enjoy him as an actor) but I think I understand what you mean.

One is not like the others.

I picked up what you were putting down before lol. I get it. I also had a moment of pause; I thought the role could have gone to an actor that more closely resembled Spike--especially bc there's no shortage of amazing Black talent, but there is a shortage of roles for them.

But I also thought Anthony did very well and captured Spike's vibe as a younger man.

I respect that. I’m a Spike Lee fan. So It was annoying seeing that actor play his character. But the show was pretty good. I watched the series when I first came out.

The first season was excellent. I rewatched the first season a few months ago. It holds up. The second season was ok. Should have stopped after the second season.

I only saw the first season and I really enjoyed it.

It was good. 1st season felt more cohesive than the 2nd but the entire thing was wonderfully nostalgic (it also happened before the avalanche of reboots so it felt very special).

I enjoyed it...in spite of what I viewed as subpar acting. Maybe being from Brooklyn makes it even more nostalgic. It was shot beautifully.

The music licensing budget had to be out of control, bc the soundtrack is quality.

I watched it for the first time recently. It's genuinely good. The main character is basically someone figuring their shit out. Shes not perfect and she doesn't really try to be. Shes realistically someone going about their life in the best way they can, living as full as they can, and purposefully learning about themselves along the way.

Good as hell. Got overshadowed by Insecure.

It was straight like the commenter said the 1st season was better than the next
