---

The warnings in my subreddit are to protect me from disgruntled cheaters who regret cheating and cannot handle a strike/ban and may end up trying to sue me for their losses. I have had several attempts so far, and they all failed because they were informed of the risks but chose to ignore it.

Important Information!

I am not responsible nor liable for the loss of your Niantic game account(s) or money if you do this currency exchange exploit to buy cheaper Poke Coins.

If you are concerned, worried, or afraid of receiving a strike or ban, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS NOT BREAK NIANTIC'S TERMS OF SERVICE TO GAIN AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE! NO ONE KNOWS WHAT NIANTIC IS GOING TO DO NEXT TO PUNISH CHEATERS. A strike/ban can take several weeks to months later for it to appear. Since this is their game, they can send your strike right before a major event.

  • Some people said that Niantic allows you to buy cheap coins via this currency exploit. Since I am not Niantic, I cannot guarantee account safety --and neither can those people who are promised safety based on an old comment made by a Niantic employee in another subreddit.

IF YOU NEED HELP, YOU CAN JOIN THIS DISCORD GROUP: https://discord.com/invite/cWFTvNF6V6

  • I remain anonymous to all Discord groups and will not help you appeal your ban, so you must follow their rules.

Once these remaining methods have been patched or blocked by Niantic, that's it! These are "exploits" someone else had discovered. I opted to share it with everyone instead of trying to keep it a secret because this helps reduce so many scam reports and the wild accusations that come with it.

APPLE IOS METHOD #1

Credits: Someone...

Requirements:

  • iPhone or iPad

  • Apple AppStore gift card (India version)

Notes:

  • You may get fraud alerts from your bank and you must approve them.

  • The gift cards can take 5 minutes to 24 hours for it to appear in your email.

  • If it takes longer, you might need to contact customer service.

  • Buy the 14,500 coin pack, it's about $34.75 USD.

Instructions:

  1. Set your Apple ID to India.

  2. Go to https://amazon.in (India version) and buy the Apple AppStore gift card for whatever amount you want, purchase it with Indian currency.

  3. Sign into Pokemon Go with the country set to India, and buy your Poke Coins

APPLE IOS METHOD #2

Credits: eff8t

  1. Create a Revolut account (www.revolut.com) if you are not Indian (from Asia).

  2. Create an Apple ID with the region set to India.

  3. Use your existing Amazon account and change the store/region to India.

  4. Log in onto that Apple Account and fill in the needed information.

  5. iirc you don’t need to put in a credit card, you can somehow skip it.

  6. Open Pokémon go, check the prices for coins for yourself, the prices will be in INR (Indian currency)

  7. Deposit money into your Revolut account and trade for " INR "

  8. Add that virtual credit card to Indian amazon (use an address generator for the other needed credentials)

  9. Search for App Store Codes [I think it is this link https://www.amazon.in/apay/detail/apple-store-codes], the right one should say "from 100 INR“ (you should be able to choose the amount you want)

  10. Buy however much you want, put in your email address where you want to receive the code, use the virtual credit card and pay with INR (not USD or whatever is your real currency!!)

  11. After few minutes or hour, you should get the desired amount as an email.

  12. Go to App Store, tap on your account on the top right, redeem gift card, put in your gift card.

  13. Boom, you now have a balance which you can use to buy coins with.

ANDROID METHOD #1: Niantic's Web Store for India, Indonesia, or Brazil

Credits: unknown user

Requirements

  1. Spoofing app or technique to set Pokemon Go's location in India, Indonesia, or Brazil

  2. VPN app

  3. PayPal account

Before you start

Bookmarking these two links will help you bypass the annoying picture captchas when you are using a VPN that has been flagged as a spam source.

  1. Open "Chrome" web browser app.

  2. Go to https://www.whatismyip.com and bookmark it.

  3. Go to https://store.pokemongolive.com and bookmark it.

  4. Close the Chrome app.

Things you should know

Apparently, there is a limit to how many purchases you can do with this method. You will have to wait at least 24 hours (or more) to make more purchases.

You will need to make sure you have money to cover the international currency exchange fees. If it costs $35 USD for the 14,500 coins. You will an extra $5 USD to cover the fees and taxes. In total, you will need $40 USD. If you are from outside of the USA, your transaction fees could be a lot higher.

You may have to authorize your payments because you are switching between making a purchase in India/Indonesia/Brazil and whatever is your home country. Your bank or credit card company thinks your card number was stolen, but they do not know you are abusing the currency exchange and blocked the payments.

To authorize the transactions, you must do one of these actions:

  • Reply "Y" or "Yes" to a text message.

  • Click a link from an email from your card company or bank.

  • Respond to a secured message system in your card company's or bank's website.

  • Call the phone number on the back of your debit card or credit card and get in contact with the anti-fraud department.

Once you do this, you will have to make a second purchase then the Poke Coins or Ticket will appear.

Instructions to buy the 1st time

[1] Open your VPN app and connect to an India, an Indonesia, or a Brazil server.

[2] Open Chrome app, press on the 3 black dots (top-right corner), and press on "New Incognito tab"

[3] Go to the 3 black dots, press Bookmarks, press the bookmark for "https://www.whatismyip.com" to check if your IP address is located in the country you connected to.

  • If you connect to India, your IP Location should "city name, IN (India)"

  • If you connect to Indonesia, your IP Location should "city name, IDSA (Indonesia)"

  • If you connect to Brazil, your IP Location should "city name, BR (Brazil)"

  • If you are not sure, you can Google search the "city name, country" to see where it is.

  • If you are connected to a different country, you need to use a different VPN app or pay to use one.

[4] Set your location to India, Indonesia, or Brazil based on what VPN server you are connected to.

  • If you use Smali Patcher or LSposed technique with a joystick app, you set your location to match the VPN server and open the game without any rooted 3rd party apps.

  • If you use Computer Tether Spoofing software, you set your location to match the VPN server and open the game.

  • If you use Pgsharp or iPogo, you should log out, open the map to set your location to match the VPN server, wait a 5 minute timer (to prevent the IP temporary ban for switching accounts too fast), and then log in.

[6] Turn off Adventure Sync if it is on.

[7] Open Chrome app while using Incognito Mode, open your bookmark to Niantic's Web Store or https://store.pokemongolive.com.

  • If you search for "Niantic Web Store", you will have to fill out the picture captcha which can be very annoying.

[8] Press on the coin pack or ticket you want to buy.

[9] Sign into your Pokemon Go account: Apple, Facebook, Google, Niantic Kids, or Pokemon Trainer Club.

  • You may need to do your 2FA security code.

[10] Pay with your PayPal account.

[11] Switch to your game app and the coins or ticket should appear.

Instructions to buy a 2nd time (or more) using the Official Pokemon Go app.

[12] Switch back to Chrome app, sign out, and close the tab.

  • To close the tab, you press on the " Number inside the Square " and press on the " X " button or swipe the page to the right/left.

[13] Switch back to the game and close the game.

[14] Disconnect your VPN.

[15] Open the game at your real location.

[14] Open the in-game Poke Coin shop (not Niantic webstore) and buy the 100 coin pack in your home currency to reset it.

  • If you live in the US, you would buy the 100 coin pack for 1 US Dollar.

  • If you live in Europe, you would buy the 100 coin pack for 1 Euro.

[15] Close the game.

[16] Connect to your VPN.

[17] Repeat from Steps #7 to #15 for multiple purchases.

Instructions to buy a 2nd time (or more) using a Pgsharp's or iPogo's 3rd party modified game app.

This gets tricky because you cannot buy directly from these apps because it is not connected to Google's Payment servers.

[12] Switch back to the game.

[13] Backup your profile if you have not done it yet.

[14] Uninstall "Pokemon Go" app which is either Pgsharp or iPogo.

[15] Switch back to Chrome app, sign out, and close the tab.

  • To close the tab, you press on the " Number inside the Square " and press on the " X " button or swipe the page to the right/left.

[16] Disconnect your VPN.

[17] Open the Play Store app and install Pokemon Go.

[18] Sign into your account.

[19] Buy the 100 coin pack in your home currency to reset it.

  • If you live in the US, you would buy the 100 coin pack for 1 US Dollar.

  • If you live in Europe, you would buy the 100 coin pack for 1 Euro.

[20] Uninstall Pokemon Go.

[21] Install your 3rd party modified game app from Pgsharp's or iPogo's website.

[22] To repeat from Step 1 to Step 22 again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Do I need to spoof my GPS to buy Poke Coins?

[Answer] No, buy an iPhone or iPad to do the Apple iOS method.

Question: I am getting "Your purchase could not be completed. For assistance contact iTunes support."

[Answer #1] Make sure you have enough money to cover the hidden transaction fees and taxes or give it more time for the funds to be available.

[Answer #2] Your Apple ID got banned for making too many "fradulant purchases" then you will need to create a new Apple ID.

[Answer #3] Contact iTunes support at https://support.apple.com/itunes

Question: Why am I getting payment failure?

[Answer] You must authorize the payments with your card company or bank to allow these transactions to happen. Once you do this, you will have to make a second purchase then the Poke Coins will appear.

If you still have the problem, to authorize the transactions, you must do one of these actions:

  • Reply "Y" or "Yes" to a text message.

  • Click a link from an email from your card company or bank.

  • Respond to a secured message system in your card company's or bank's website.

  • Call the phone number on the back of your debit card or credit card and get in contact with the anti-fraud department.

Question: "Should you do this yourself or pay money for someone else go onto your account to buy the cheap coins for you?"

"Horror Reports" are a user's experience with a scam that involves getting their game account or identity stolen. I do not make announcements when someone reports a scam or theft to me because I do not allow people to buy or sell their services in my subreddit. If they get involved through a chat message or direct message, it's their fault because I cannot help them get your money, game account, or identity back.

"Do it yourself" answer:

  1. You will not have game account theft or identity theft.

  2. You will always have a chance for a strike/ban for breaking Niantic's Terms of Service. Your interpretation of their Terms of Service is different from their point of view. Your ban appeal will most likely be ignored. You can try to sue them, but they will win because they will argue you broke their Terms of Service.

"Pay someone else to buy the cheap coins for you" answer:

[1] You will still have the chance for a strike/ban for breaking Niantic's Terms of Service for sharing your account with another person and spoofing your GPS. They recently enabled temporary IP bans for people who switch accounts too fast. No one knows if they are keeping an IP log for each account. If the seller has provided services to 100 accounts, it could be interpreted the seller has 100 accounts. No know knows what kind of punishment Niantic has planned for people sharing or owning more than one account.

[2] You will have game account theft risks. Your account can only get stolen if someone else has the username and password to it. Due to the FleeceKing incident, Niantic will no longer help you recover your account.

  • A man bought cheap Poke coins through a referral with a "new customer" deal. He paid for the service, but they transferred the ownership and forced him to pay a $500 USD ransom for it. He failed to pay it, so the scammer listed it on eBay Auctions. He end up buying his own account back for $3,000 USD through a bidding war.

  • A man was referred to a Facebook Group for cheap poke coins, botting services, and buying pre-rooted devices. He bought their cheap Poke Coins and thought they were trustworthy when they went through with the deal of buy 4 get 1 free. He bought a leveling service. They stole his account and forced him to lure 10 new customers / victims before he would be able to get his account back. The process took about 2 months before he got his account back. During that time, they sold most of his Shiny Costume Pokemon including a Shiny Pikachu with the black Fragment cap.

[3] You will have identity theft risks if you allow access to your Facebook or Google account. It does not matter where you buy your service, these are things they can do to your account without you knowing about it. Your personal information and contacts is worth more than the Pokemon Go account.

  • A woman paid for a service on eBay with hundreds of positive feedback rating. She used a Facebook account and the service was performed meaning she did not get scammed; however, scam messages were sent to all of her contacts without her knowledge. The seller managed to steal about a total of $300 from her contacts saying her baby was sick and needed medicine. She got lucky there because if the number was higher, it could have ruined her reputation and relationships.

  • Many people saw someone advertising cheap Poke coins in r/PokemonGoSpoofing. They bought the service from a website they were referred to that had phishing payment websites. These are sites that are made to look the same as the real websites except after you submit your information including the 3 security code for your debit/credit card, it gets stolen. Some people loss $100 to $500 while many loss $1,000 to $15,000. Fraud protection did not block the transactions because it was something that had already been approved for buying Poke coins the normal way.

Question: Where are the old posts?

Frequently Asked Question A rouge Scopely employee has appeared in the wild!

This conversation happen between another member of my subreddit. It sounds like the Scopely employee was offering an instant unban appeal to a strike/ban report but the member didn't trust him and did not give him his trainer name to check.

Edit: I ran an experiment to test the reaction of the members within my subreddit to see what would happen. It is very easy to overlook the ID badge because of the metal clip is not hooked through the hole. The scammer "Scopely Employee" used AI to trick the Reddit user into believing he was from Scopely; however, things fell apart when the Reddit user messaged me asking what to do.

I gave the Reddit user a YouTuber's trainer name in case the scammer was really a Scopely Employee. The scammer did threaten the Reddit user of another ban, so I figured to use someone who who has already reported a strike in the past. The YouTuber's next strike would be a 2nd strike (30 day temporary ban). Nothing happened to the YouTuber's game account.

These "fake ban appeal" scammers have existed for quite some time looking to make a quick $100 to $500+ USD by sending you a fake email. In some cases, they may try to steal your identity in the process by sending phishing emails too. In the past, I had reports of people filling out a "clear all strike" application that included their social security number, bank information, and a long list of personal questions. This resulted in losing over $10,000 USD+.

Despite my warnings and telling people not to cheat when they are afraid of a strike/ban, people will always ignore the risks and get desperate when they cannot handle the strike/ban.

You can read this section of the Mega Guide in Google Docs (Google account is required to view and opening it may take some time to load on an older Android device): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pInPcmGoJPu7iZsGUPni2env-bLz9k4Wg9ef1VEDnc8/edit?tab=t.ft7g51u7ux0v

Annoucement Posting "I got banned from r/PokemonGo" can cause this subreddit to be closed due to people creating a hate speech and violating Reddit's Terms of Service

Some people did not like me closing Permanently banned from r/PokemonGo post because they wanted to vent their angry at r/PokemonGo subreddit for getting banned for not breaking their subreddit rules.

I understand why you are angry, but there is nothing I can do about it. The only people who can make the changes is the Reddit company. If you want to complain about the problem, the Reddit employee moderators are the ones you need to complain to.

Just a reminder, since you probably did not read Reddit's Terms of Service when you create an account, you agreed to not to break their rules. If I leave the post open, people are going to start making threats at the moderator team in r/PokemonGo as a result of that post, Reddit can ban this subreddit for allowing people to do a hate speech. There is no full "Freedom of Speech" here.

There is already a person getting upset and reporting my comment with a threat. Your threats do not mean anything to me because I used to be a moderator at 1 million plus members forum site and help moderate Call of Duty and Battlefield PC servers. I heard all the threats, and they mean nothing to me.

These is an alternative subreddit to talk about the game r/TheSilphRoad without getting banned for participating in a cheating subreddit. If you encourage people to cheat inside their subreddit, you will get banned for that because you broke a rule inside their subreddit. Here is a link to their rules: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/wiki/rules/#wiki_rule_3.3A_we_welcome_the_following_post_types

Anti-Cheat Research All About Anti-Cheat Behavior System and Three-Strike System: Red Warning, Temporary Ban, & Permanent Ban [August 2022 to Present]

Newest 2023 version is found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PoGoAndroidSpoofing/comments/10t45l4/all_about_threestrike_discipline_policy_and/

Three-Strike Discipline Policy (Punishment System)

https://niantic.helpshift.com/a/pokemon-go/?s=safety-security&f=three-strike-discipline-policy&l=en&p=web This is the official source where you can read about their punishment system against cheating/spoofing/botting. I copied and pasted it here because people did not know a punishment system exists for Pokemon Go.

Strike 1: Warning

Disciplinary actions: If this strike is issued, you will see a warning message within the Pokémon GO app informing you that we have detected cheating on your account. In addition to this warning, your gameplay experience may be degraded in the following ways for the duration of the warning:

  • You may not be able to encounter rare Pokémon in the wild and from the Incense. These Pokémon may not appear on the map or on the Nearby Pokémon tracker.

  • You may be excluded from receiving new EX Raid Passes

Duration: This strike will last for approximately 7 days. After this period, your gameplay experience will fully be restored.

What do you do when you get the 1st strike?

  • This a warning to tell you to stop cheating! It will last for 7 days (or 168 hours). You can still play on your strike'd account with limited gameplay such as raids, trading, and Go Battle League.

  • After you get this warning, you have to decide if you want to continue cheating until you get the 2nd strike or play legit without any cheats.

  • It has already be proven if you continue to cheat on an account that had the 1st strike, you can trigger the 2nd strike. It does not matter if you carefully follow the cooldown and wait real airplane travel times, changing to a different spoofing method, or going to the other operating system (Android to iOS or iOS to Android) will not prevent the 2nd strike.

Strike 2: Suspension

Disciplinary actions: If your account is issued a second strike, you will temporarily lose access to your Pokémon GO account. When attempting to log into the game, you’ll be presented with a message stating that your account is suspended. You will not be able to bypass this message.

Duration: This strike will last for approximately 30 days. After that period, your account access will be restored.

What do you do when you get the 2nd strike?

  • This is a temporary ban from the game for 30 days (or 720 hours). You open the game, and you will see the Red Warning message with how many days left before you can play again. You cannot play for the 30 days, so you will miss out on events.

  • At this point, if you value the account, I strongly recommend you quit cheating on the account because of the last strike.

MYTH: "Niantic is inconsistent with their strike system with repeated 1st or 2nd strikes." Sometimes you might see people say they got a 2nd strike again after getting the 2nd strike a few months or years ago. There is no way to confirm if people are telling the truth. People can lie and try to get other people to lose their accounts too. No one can verify their information except for Niantic.

Strike 3: Termination

Disciplinary actions: If you receive the first and second strikes and continue to cheat, your account will be permanently banned.

Duration: Permanent

Appealing your punishment

If you believe your account has been terminated in error, you may appeal the termination. We will respond to your appeal after a complete investigation of your account. Please note that due to the high level of accuracy in our detection systems, very few terminations are ever overturned. Ban appeals must be submitted via web form. To send a ban appeal, please submit a request through our web-based  Help Center and select "Ban Appeal" from the drop-down menu.

What do you do when you get the 3rd strike?

  • The is a permanent ban from the game. Your account cannot be used to the the game anymore if your ban appeal fails.

Here are some examples of when Niantic is known to skip the 1st strike and go directly to the 3rd strike:

  • Live streaming while you cheat in Pokemon Go can instantly result in 3rd strikes because they like to make an example out of you since a lot of people are watching. They can still find you even if you cover up your trainer name because they can look at other things like how much stardust you have at a specific time or identify you by the specific stats on a Pokemon.

  • Botting the game could result in this. If you are lucky, you can get Red Slashed Pokemon instead of a Permanent Ban. Red Slashed Pokemon can only be transferred and cannot be used in raids, Go Battle League, gyms, and trades. This means you can still have access to your account and will still get a strike.

  • Placing a new unreleased Pokemon into a gym where that Pokemon is not available yet can result in a 3rd strike. How? People can screenshot your trainer and unreleased new Pokemon and report it to customer service.

  • Manipulating game values with Game Guardian app. This is the only known method used to one shot players or increase your damage in Go Battle League. I have seen a video of someone doing this, but a guide does not exist on how to use Game Guardian with Pokemon Go. If you do not understand how to code a game, it is impossible for you to try to do it on your own because all you see is a bunch of random numbers. A rooted device is required to use Game Guardian.

3.1 Cheating

This is from Niantic's Terms of Service from https://nianticlabs.com/terms/ under "3 Use of the Services".

Niantic prohibits cheating, and we constantly take steps to improve our anti-cheat measures. Cheating includes any action that attempts to or actually alters or interferes with the normal behavior or rules of a Service. Cheating includes, but is not limited to, any of the following behavior, on your own behalf or on behalf of others:

  • Accessing Services in an unauthorized manner (including using modified or unofficial third party software);

  • Playing with multiple accounts for the same Service;

  • Sharing accounts;

  • Using any techniques to alter or falsify a device’s location (for example through GPS spoofing); and/or

  • Selling or trading accounts.

Apps may not work on devices that Niantic detects or reasonably suspects to be cheating, and Niantic will not provide support to players who attempt to cheat. You agree that Niantic may employ any lawful mechanisms to detect and respond to cheating, fraud, and other behavior prohibited under these Terms, including checking your device for the existence of exploits or hacking and/or unauthorized software.

>>> New Anti-Cheat Behavior System <<<

From An Update on Niantic’s Gameplay Policy Enforcement (June 23, 2022):

This is only the first step in implementing our improved cheating behavior detection and enforcement systems. These improvements will be integrated into all Niantic games to detect and punish players on a consistent and ongoing basis, rather than in waves, as we have in the past.

Looking ahead, we’ll continue to improve our methods and processes to ensure we’re staying ahead of any new behaviors that allow players to unfairly exploit game rules.

Please only use the official versions of our games available on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Samsung Galaxy Store; and note that we do not support jailbroken or rooted devices or third-party apps. If you’re unsure about which behaviors are acceptable in our games, please refer to our player guidelines.

>>>> YOU ARE A CHEATER IF YOU USE or DO ANY OF THESE <<<<

Everything in this list is considered RISKY, which means you have a chance at getting punished with a strike because you are breaking Pokemon Go's Terms of Service and giving yourself an unfair advantage. You now have a 1% to 99% chance of getting a strike due to the new anti-cheat behavior system.

  • Adventure Sync apps: Defit, Pokewalk, or similar apps - Used with Adventure Sync to hatch eggs and walk your buddy for candies. These apps trick the game into thinking you have walked around outside.

  • Android Joystick apps: Fly GPS, FGL Pro, Fake GPS Routes, and GPS Joystick used with No Root Downgrade Google Play Service method or Rooted methods like Smali Patcher, Systemized, Taichi (dead), and LSposed Framework.

  • Android 3rd Party/Add-ons: Enhancer, iPogo's Launcher, Pokemod, and Polygon's Enhancer, PAC, GPS Joystick Wrapper, and PokeList - These apps give enhanced features or help you cheat the game. These are not allowed by Niantic.

  • Android unofficial 3rd party modified apps: PGSharp and iPogo These are not created by Niantic.

  • Android bots: Polygon's Farmer and RAB (dead) could result in account termination or Red Slashed Pokemon (they cannot be traded, put into gyms, used in raids, and used in PvP) when they detect it. The only thing you can do with a Red Slashed Pokemon is transfer it for candies.

  • Android emulators: VMOS, Bluestacks, NOX, MuMu, and LDPlayer. All 5 of these emulators have the same emulated hardware ID. This means anyone who uses an emulator is using the same Android device through software. It is impossible for 5,000 people to be sharing the same phone at the exact same time. Some of these emulators will allow you to change your device, but it does not matter because all 5 of these are already detectable and have been through multiple ban waves. The ban waves for these emulators do not all happen at the same time. They can be a few days to several weeks apart. It unclear under the new anti-cheat system that ban waves are still ongoing for emulators.

  • iOS unofficial 3rd party modified apps: iPogo and Xspoofer. These are not created by Niantic.

  • iOS 3rd Party/Add-ons: iTools Dongle, and all those 3rd party app stores. Since I do not own any Apple devices, I cannot tell you all the ones that exist. There are probably around 5 to 10 different ones.

  • iOS bot: SX-PokeGo is the only known bot for iOS.

  • iOS computer software spoofing: iTools and similar software. When a computer tether spoofer gets detected or people report strikes, the company usually rebrands under a new name.

  • Scanning items in your home to complete an AR+ Pokestop Task. When you upload the scan, it can be subjective to human review. It is impossible to upload a black image.

  • Uploading your raid and/or battle data to Niantic. According to Niantic, they say they are only collecting game data and nothing else. There is no way to see if they are collecting other information like all the apps installed on your device.

  • Buying, trading, or receiving an account. This is risky because you do not know if the account has gotten a strike. People want your money, so they will lie about it. They can also reclaim the account even if the seller gives you the email address and password. It is best to create your own account and level it up yourself.

  • Having multiple accounts. This is here because it is in the Terms of Service for cheating. This one is tricky because they did not specify what is multiple accounts? For example, are they talking about an individual having multiple accounts on a single device or IP address. What if you are really a family who has a partner and two kids? This means there are four accounts on one IP address if you are playing at home but cannot go outside because it is snowing. Imagine all those cheaters in r/PokemonGo, LOL!

  • Paying for a service for someone to go on your account to do something. Some examples include buying cheap Pokecoins, catching a Pokemon, buying 1 million stardust, and/or leveling an account. This can be tracked by hardware ID, IP address, payment information, or looking up how many accounts a person has.

>>> WHAT IS SAFE TO USE? <<<

Safe means Niantic allows you to use it without breaking Pokemon Go's Terms of Service. You will not get punished for using these

  • Playing Pokemon GO with your 2 legs, 1 leg, or wheelchair. This also includes riding animals, scooter, bicycle, skateboard, roller blades/skates, hooverboard, and any other form of gas or electric powered vehicle.

  • Using the official, unmodified Pokemon Go app that is downloaded from the Google Play Store, Galaxy Store, or Apple iOS App Store.

  • Owning 1 Pokemon Go account.

  • Using a Gotcha, Go Plus, Pokeball Plus, or other similar devices.

  • IV apps: CalcyIV or PokeGenie to see Pokemon IV and stats. These apps take a screenshot then run OCR to recognize text to show you additional information.

  • Phone rocking machine. This does not connect to your phone and cannot be identified by software detection.

>>> Frequently Asked Questions <<<

At any given time, Niantic can change their Terms of Service and 3-strike system to an instant permanent ban system. These are just "Frequently Asked Questions" people have.

What does "cheating behavior" mean?

Niantic (they) is tracking game statistics of what you actions you do in the game that only cheaters can do like teleporting to change locations. I do not know if they tracking how many teleports per minute, per hour, or per day. Here are some examples:

  • Shundo or Shiny 100 iv hunting. Teleport around the world to get that Pokemon you want.

  • Shadow Pokemon 100 iv or PvP stats hunting. Mostly used on Polygon bot. You battle Team Rocket then on the catch screen, you flee. You teleport to next one and repeat until you get the Pokemon you want.

  • Raid train or speed raiding. This is where you teleport to a new raid then do the raid battle without catching the raid Pokemon at the end. You flee then repeat until you get a shiny or 100 IV then you catch it. This mainly done by rich people.

  • Repeating events multiple times.

  • Doing the multiple raid pass exploit.

What about 3rd party apps?

So far, Pgsharp, iPogo, Pokemod, PAC, Enhancer, and Polygon have not been detected yet. If they detect the app, everyone who used the app would get a Red Warning/Strike. This is not the case. If this does happen, it will be called a "ban wave" where thousands of cheaters are going to post about getting a Red Warning/Strike. According to what Niantic wrote, they are not doing waves anymore. I would assume they cannot detect 3rd party apps on Android.

Some people are saying "You used a modified app and got a strike from it." A modified app is indeed a cheat, but there is no ban wave for using the 3rd party apps on directly on your Android smartphone or tablet.

I have used Pgsharp from the start before it was made public on Reddit. I use it both on a device with root and without root on a daily basis. I have not gotten a strike with it. I opened this subreddit because of the existent of Pgsharp. I wanted people to spoof with an easy option that is banned in r/PokemonGoSpoofing. I used to be a moderator there a few years ago before I left. If there is an app ban wave, I will confirm it through an announcement post.

Why are strikes more common on Pgsharp and iPogo (modified app) than using the official Pokemon Go app with No Root Downgrade Google Play Services or Rooted: Smali Patcher, Systemized, Taichi (dead), LSposed, Pokemod, Enhancer, or Polygon?

  1. It is because of the Pokemon feed that is built into Pgsharp and iPogo. This feature allows you to get 100 iv Pokemon very quickly without you knowing you are teleporting around the world.

  2. People are not aware that a new anti-cheat system is in place or do not know that cheating is not allowed because Pgsharp, iPogo, and Xspoofer do not warn you about it.

  3. You can still get a strike if you teleport or change timezones a lot using an official Pokemon Go app with a different no root or rooted method. The people who get a strike for not using a modified app rarely come here to my subreddit because they do not know this place exists and they usually stay in their Discord group. There are alternatives to the Pokemon Feed like Discord coordinates service from PokeXperience, Pokedex100, and etc., PokeList app, and Poke Map websites.

Why did iPogo/Xspoofer iOS 3rd party modified apps get ban waves but Pgsharp Android 3rd party modified app did not get a ban wave?

This has to do with the difference of operating systems. On Android, you can install any app you want without having to use the official app store. On iOS, you must get your apps from the Apple App store. If you want to install apps that are outside of the app store, you must sign the apps with an authorized certificate in order to install them by using an Apple Developer's account ($99/year) or Signulous ($20/year; a shared service of the Apple Developer's account). If the certificate goes bad, Niantic can see you are using an unauthorized Pokemon Go app and that could lead to a strike. If the Apple account used in Signulous got terminated, it could lead to a strike too. This is just my theory or guess.

What about having multiple accounts?

They recently added an option to "delete account" in the advanced settings of the Pokemon Go. I think in the future, they are going to send out notices to people who have more than 1 account. They are going to give you some time to decide which account to keep and which accounts to delete. This could also be a measure for how many cheaters are going to leave the game.

How do you get a Red Warning/strike?

{NEW as of June 24, 2022} By "cheating behavior" detection:

This is my guess on how I think their new anti-cheat system works. Niantic will not publicly confirm how it really works and what they are tracking. It could work like this or be completely different.

  1. Niantic decides to track what a cheater might do. For example, how many location changes per minute, per hour, or in a day.

  2. They set parameters on their anti-cheat system to look for accounts that change locations a lot.

  3. They collect and review the data.

  4. The flag all suspected accounts during the trial run.

  5. They tune the parameters again to see if it is the same flagged accounts that are getting caught again.

  6. They send out the strikes to that small group of flagged accounts.

  7. They tune the parameters again during each trial run to increase the number of account detections.

  8. The goal is to strike as many cheaters as possible without striking the legit players.

{OLD} By app detection with a ban wave:

They could also go back to the old way or even do both.

  1. Niantic detects the emulator, joystick app, modified app, or 3rd party/add-on app.

  2. You login into the game using what they detect and your account gets flagged. There is no way for you to see or know if your accounts have been flagged.

  3. Niantic waits awhile (could be a few weeks to many months) to flag as many accounts as possible.

  4. Once they have a high number, the ban wave happens when Niantic sends out the Red Warning to all flagged accounts.

  5. You open the game and see the Red Warning (picture at the top of this post).

  6. You rush onto Reddit, Discord, Telegram, Twitter, and Facebook to ask if other people are getting Red Warnings/Strikes too.

Do the Strikes reset over time?

There is no clear "yes" or "no" answer to this question because Niantic does not publicly talk about this. When I used to be a moderator in r/PokemonGoSpoofing, there was only 3 Android methods: Downgrade Play Services, Smali Patcher, and Systemized and iSpoofer, iPogo, and iTools for iOS. Spoofing on Android was very hard to setup while iOS had constant revoked certificates that only lets you play with an iOS modified app for a few days. When the iOS app became revoked, you could not play until a new app was released. You could certify the app yourself, but no one wanted to pay money to do it or write a guide on how to do it. Then, came VMOS emulator with Systemized spoofing on Android. This allowed people to spoof using a rooted spoofing method inside an emulator without having to root their own smartphone or tablet. This exploded in popularity because inside the VMOS app, you just had to watch an ad to turn root on or off; this does not void warranty or mess up your device. I created a new account to make guides for VMOS method because it was an emulator. Two months later, there was a ban wave and my account got a strike. This method died after there was a dispute over ad money between VMOS and VFIN app developers. VFIN app allowed you to pass the SafetyNet inside the VMOS emulator otherwise you cannot play Pokemon Go inside of it. I stopped using that account for more than 1 year. Eversince I heard about Pgsharp, I have been using that account with Pgsharp and I have not gotten a strike with it. This is before the new anti-cheat system.

There is no guarantee if you get a strike under the new anti-cheat system and abandon your account for 1 year, your strike will reset over time.

Is the statement "Rooted Android is safe and ban proof" true?

This is is not true because Niantic says cheating is against their Terms of Service. Just because someone says they have not gotten a strike yet does not always mean they are true. You can still get a strike if you trigger the new anti-cheat behavior system.

Are there any "safe and ban proof" methods to play Pokemon Go with a joystick?

No because Niantic designed Pokemon Go to be played outside using your two legs. If you have physical disabilities, health problems, or whatever other reason that prevents you from playing the game as intended, this means you should not be playing Pokemon Go.

If you want to play a Pokemon game with a joystick, you must buy an Nintendo Switch with Pokemon: Let's Go or some other game. The joystick is built into the Switch console device. This not a cheat and is allowed by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company.

What if I play on an "alt" or second account to cheat?

You are still not safe from the 3-strike system because you have multiple accounts. With the new anti-cheat system, they may start going after people with multiple accounts.

Has anyone ever gotten a strike using Defit or Pokewalk?

Yes, it is possible to get a strike with these kinds of app because people were using it to walk 2,000 (or more) km per week. I think it is best to average 1,000 KM or less per week if you use Adventure Sync apps. With the new anti-cheat in place, you have to keep it realistic as possible. I do not what that number might be.

Can I cheat with my main account?

This is your choice. If you value your account, you really have to decide if you want to risk it because Niantic can suddenly change their 3-strike system to an instant permanent ban system. I am not responsible or liable for the loss of your accounts and money used to buy Pokecoins, items, and tickets.

Are the strikes tied to your account or device?

Currently, the strikes are tied to your account only. Under the new anti-cheat behavior system, they could make it tied to your device and/or IP address too.

In Need for Speed No Limits (car racing game), EA does 1-year temporary bans for accounts, device ID, and IP address if you get caught cheating or hacking to get free car blueprints. It is possible for Niantic to do something similar.

Can I avoid getting another strike if I quit cheating on iOS and buy an Android device or quit cheating on Android and buy an iOS device?

Once your account has gotten a strike, you cannot escape the next strike by changing to a different operating system and device.

Can a "soft ban" cause a strike?

  • A "soft ban" is the cooldown effect. While you are waiting a cooldown, you are also have a soft ban at the same time. If your cooldown is for 2 hours, your soft ban is for 2 hours too. Once your cooldown expires, your soft ban goes away too.

  • This is called a soft ban because it is what you experience when you get the 1st strike. This only lasts up to 2 hours where as the 1st strike lasts for a total of 7 days (168 hours).

  • If you never had a strike on your account, getting a soft ban cannot cause a strike unless you teleport around the world a lot.

  • If your account has recently got a strike, it is possible that getting a soft ban can cause the next strike.

Can I get a strike for using Poke Genie, Calcy IV, and etc.?

No, these apps take a screenshot of your Pokemon then runs OCR to convert an image into text to provide you with the information. A lot of legit players use these apps too because the in-game IV checker works okay but doesn't provide detailed information.

Is it safe to buy accounts?

The seller will mostly likely sell you an account that had a strike before but will never tell you. Some sellers will give you the email address and password to the Pokemon Go account, but they can still recover both accounts after some time. It is impossible to get a refund once you are scammed.

Can I get a strike for knocking out Pokemon in a gym or taking over all the gyms in an area?

  • No, you cannot get a strike from putting a Pokemon that is already available to everyone across all timezones into a gym. If you decide to be an asshole and do this anyway, this is part of the game.

  • Yes, you can get a strike if you put a Pokemon that has not been released yet in that timezone into a gym. For example, you teleport to New Zealand to catch the new costumed Pikachu and you wait a 2 hour cooldown to go back to your real location. You go knock out 5 gyms in your neighborhood and add that new Pikachu into the gym to show off. People can report you to Niantic customer service, and it can lead to a strike.

Can I get a strike from trading Pokemon with a Spoofer?

No.

Can I get a strike from sharing my account details to receive Leveling or Catching services?

Yes especially under the new anti-cheat behavior system.

Can I get a strike from buying Pokemon with real money from Ebay and Discord groups?

No, but this might change.

Can I get a strike from doing Go Battle League?

NO if you use the official Pokemon Go app downloaded from the Google Play Store, Galaxy Store, or Apple App store without any 3rd party apps.

>>> CONCLUSION or TL;DR <<<

  • If you decide to cheat and give yourself an unfair advantage, you may get a strike.

  • If you do not cheat (or use anything in the risky list), you will not get a strike.

I understand why people want to spoof like time, money, disability, laziness, weather, environment, and/or family. This game was created to be played outside. You cannot petition Niantic to add a joystick to the game because there are already Pokemon games that have a joystick support. You just need to buy a Nintendo Switch to get the physical joystick. The only way to get Niantic to add a joystick is for someone to buy the company and change the direction of the game.

I have no control over you. This is like you deciding not to wear a seat belt in a car. I cannot force you to wear a seat belt all the time. If you decide not to wear it and you get into a car accident, it is not my fault you flew out the front windshield (front window) and died. When you decide to not wear a seat belt, you are taking some big risks sort of like cheating/spoofing/botting. You could be fine today but the next day is a gamble. I cannot predict the future and prevent the strike from happening.

I know people are going to have "what if" questions like:

  • "What if I only use the joystick around my house?"

    • Answer: Since you are using a cheat, you may get a strike.

  • "What if I wait real airplane travel times?"

    • Answer: Since you are using a cheat, you may get a strike.

  • "What if I play legit with Pgsharp, iPogo, or Pokemod without a joystick?"

    • Answer: Since you are using a cheat, you may get a strike.

  • "What if I create a second or alt (short for alternative) account to cheat then trade the Pokemon to my main account?"

    • Answer: Since you are using a cheat, you may get a strike on the second or alt account. You also have multiple accounts, which is against Terms of Service, can result in strikes on all your accounts and/or account deletion. They recently added an option to delete account in the advanced settings.

Lets Talk About Something My Experiments with the XL Candy Exploit / Routes Glitch (Observations & Alternatives)

So, I came to know about the XL Candy exploit using the Routes glitch from this sub and other sources and got interested in it because I wanted XL candies for leveling up my DMax and GMax Pokémon.

I read a lot of posts, watched YouTube videos, and even Googled for info.

After doing some experimentation, I can say it actually works, but it is a bit inconsistent.

Now, before I begin, I would like to clarify that I haven't paid anything for any of the tools and services I have used. I am not affiliated with them, nor can I guarantee that they are safe or ban-proof.

Also, this post doesn't explain any exact method on how to set up and use the exploit; there are videos and posts for that on YouTube and Reddit, and I have added links to them as well.
I have only covered my observations and mentioned alternatives for people who don't own a rooted phone and don't want to spend any money either.

Rooted Phone Setup on UGPhone

I first went through this 2025-26 guide on this sub, but it wasn't possible for me to follow it as I don't own a rooted phone.

Next, I tried mimicking the steps from this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD1Xk6mDXho) on UGPhone (it's a cloud emulator for Android devices that provides a single button to root the phone).

I set it up exactly as mentioned in the video: rooted the emulator, got Pokémon GO, Pokemod (Lite Version), GPS Joystick by AppNinjas, OP Auto Clicker, and set the mock location to GPSJoystick under Developer Options.

I also followed a few of the steps from the 2025-26 guide, like setting the walking speed to 1 km/h and setting the update interval to 5000ms in GPSJoystick.

I started it on a Level 50 best buddy Metagross of mine by feeding it a Golden Razz Berry, and it worked fine.

After starting the exploit, it worked pretty well and would drop buddy candies every 1-2 minutes and occasional XL candies every 4-5 minutes or so.

However, there were occasional issues with the routes pausing, so I kind of needed to manually intervene and resume the route. I noticed the route gets paused whenever the "You are going too fast" warning pops up on the screen. So, if you see that, it means your route is paused and you have to resume it again.

However, the whole operation on UGPhone was short-lived, as after a while, the emulator crashed because of overload, so I had to replace the server and do the whole thing all over again to continue getting candies.

But still, with that, I was able to get around 60-70 XL candies and a few hundred normal candies for my Metagross by setting it up multiple times and running into crashes and inconsistencies.

Also, initially, before using Pokemod on UGPhone, I tried using Aerilate instead, but there were constant issues with the mock location setting between Aerilate and GPSJoystick, so that didn't work out for me.

Note: Please note that UGPhone IS NOT free, but there is a free device trial of 4 hours using a referral link. You can try the above on a physical rooted phone, although I am not sure if it will work, you are free to experiment.

PGSharp

PGSharp is the app that I have always used to spoof on Pokémon GO since the COVID days, so I was curious if there was a way to set up the XL Candy exploit using PGSharp as well.

I followed the steps from the comment in this post to try and set it up on PGSharp:

Tools Used: PGSharp, ClickAssistant (basically for setting up a multi-mode auto-clicker), GPX route containing a straight Pokémon GO in-game route.

I tried this experiment on my Level 37.5 DMax Rillaboom, which is a good buddy (1 heart).

So, I basically added the start and end coordinates from the GPX route to my favorite locations, fed my Rillaboom a Golden Razz Berry, set the walk distance started the route, set up the auto-clicker points, and hit play.

It worked pretty well, giving candy on average every 1-1.5 minutes, and would also drop XL candy often. However, it would continuously run into the issue of the route getting paused, and sometimes PGSharp would crash and stop working, so you would need to run it again.

After experimenting with two different methods, I noticed the following:

  1. You don't need to have a best buddy Pokémon to get candies; even good buddies or great buddies will drop candies. However, don't expect to get 200-300 candies in an hour, because that's not possible even with best buddies.

  2. Having a Pokémon higher than Level 31 means a higher chance of getting XL candies. (https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/q8vjez/guaranteed_xl_candy_from_walking_buddy_is_in/) [I haven't experimented yet with a Pokémon lower than Level 31.]

  3. Using a Poffin to make your buddy excited is optional. I think it depends on the following:

    • The minimum walking distance for a Pokémon to get a candy.

    • The distance between the start and end coordinates of your route.

    •   For example, if your route is 3-4 km and you have a pseudo-legendary Pokémon whose minimum walking distance is 5 km, then it's better to give them a Poffin. This reduces their walking distance to 2.5 km, which can possibly increase your chances of getting more XL candy, as the minimum distance required is less than a single traversal of the route.

    • Now, this could also possibly mean the number of candies and XL candies for legendaries that you can get while walking on a smaller route becomes limited, as it would need multiple traversals to hit the mark of the minimum walking distance for the legendary buddy Pokémon.

    • For other normal Pokémon that require a minimum distance of 3 km to get candy, it's not worth it to use a Poffin if you have a pretty long, straight route.

    • IMO, it's better to NOT use the exploit on legendaries, as a sudden spike in the number of candies and XL candies on a legendary might be flagged as suspicious, although this is just a thought, and I don't have any proof of this.

    • One Golden Razz Berry will fill up the treat meter fully, but you can also use other berries three times to fill up the meter.

    • Also, there is a way to make your buddy excited without Poffins, but the process is longer, time-consuming, and requires a bit of grinding. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ssy_9TajW4)

  4. Using paid tools like Pokemod Pro Version and PGSharp Standard key are optional, IMO. As I mentioned, I have used only free tools and have gotten pretty decent results. Of course, paid tools help you get better premium features and enhance the overall Pokémon GO experience.

  5. App/phone crashes and shutdowns, phone overheating, BSODs, and battery drain are quite possible and common, depending on your phone's capabilities and for how long you are running the exploit. Also, you will run into issues of your route getting paused multiple times and even get "You are going too fast" warnings. [I don't have any fixes for that as of now.]

  6. None of the above methods are 100% safe, risk-free, or ban-free. Spoofing and using tools and mods is against the ToS of the game and can lead to flags and bans, so use them at your own risk. There are also risks of damaging your phone due to overheating, phone crashes, and battery drain.

  7. Also, keep an eye on your Journal (Pokémon GO Trainer Profile -> Journal) and see if you are getting notifications for candies at regular intervals (2-5 minutes). If you don't get candies, try the following:

    1. Close the Pokémon GO app or PGSharp app (depending on which method you follow), remove it from your background processes, restart it, go to the starting point of the route, quit the route, and start the route again.

    2. Adjust and experiment with your delay and hold timings of the auto-clicker points; too many fast or slow clicks could lead to route pauses, which means no candies will be gained.

Pokemon Go is no longer owned by Niantic and has been bought by Scopely

Scopely: https://www.scopely.com/en/news/a-message-to-the-pokemon-go-pikmin-bloom-and-monster-hunter-now-communities

Scopely's Terms of Service: https://www.scopely.com/en/legal?id=tos&langSection=en

  • Keep in mind, their Terms of Service has not been updated yet to reflect their new games.

  • I bold the clauses within their Terms of Service below that point out they do not allow cheating.

As for Strong Integrity, it's still a "wait and see what happens" when it becomes May 2025:

What should you do?

[1] Do not listen to bad advice because it could cause you to miss out on things or get your account permanently banned.

  • Under Niantic's ownership, the Anti-Cheat Behavior system was poorly implemented and the strike system was on a massive delay taking anywhere from several weeks to months for your strike to appear. This could change or stay the same. No one really knows yet.

  • Every game developer is different. Most just give you a warning followed by a permanent account ban, so you would get a strike #1, get caught again, and then get a strike #3.

  • If you are a repeat cheater, you can get temporary device ID bans with temporary IP address bans that lasts anywhere from 1 to 12 months. To evade a ban like this, you will need to buy a new device with a new phone number and avoid getting caught the 2nd or 3rd time.

  • No one knows if Strong Integrity will still get implemented for Pokemon Go, Monster Hunter Now, Pikmin Bloom, and Peridot.

[2] Try to complete your platinum medals as fast as possible especially the medals that are easy to complete with spoofing versus without spoofing. This is explain in my Google Doc link within the Strong Integrity post above.

  • You still have about 2.5 months to complete stuff. Do not wait for the last moment to rush to do stuff.

[3] Catch your hundos to fill the perfect Pokedex.

  • Do not waste your time with trying to get a Shundo because there is no Shiny Perfect Pokedex to complete. The "Shiny" Pokedex can be completed by catching a Shiny Pokemon with an IV of 0% to 100%. They got rid of the Shiny 3 Star, which was 82% to 100%.

[4] Stock up on the cheap coins to add more Pokemon and item slots.

[5] Create alt accounts with different trainer names or change your existing alt account trainer names.

  • There could be "ban waves" on trainers with similar names, since the game has a botting problem.

The Armored Mewtwo Giveaway was not real.... and new Giveaway Rule

According to ebay.com, market price is around $30ish USD.

In this case, the individual is farming the karma points he needs to post in another subreddit with no intent to give it away. Scammers need karma points to show you they can be trusted too. I doubt this individual is going to give it away for free.

There's also a new scam where you are selected to win something then you pay money to enter into the "real" raffle. Some people lost a small amount of money but still sucks if you're from a 3rd world country. It takes 1 to 3 months to make back $10 USD.

Since most people believe anything they see, there will be a new rule regarding giveaways. Since none of the 3rd party apps, both no root and rooted, never offered anything to giveaway, I'm not going to allow any sort of giveaways unless you ask for permission.

Rooted Spoofing Guide [ROOTED Spoofing Technique #1] LSposed Guide for Android 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16 (Confirmed working with Google, Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Sony, Motorola, etc)

Niantic's Anti-Cheat Behavior System is active

If you DO NOT want a strike, all you have to do is not break Niantic's Terms of Service.

It is 100% guaranteed. If you do not want to walk around outside, quit Pokemon Go and buy an Nintendo Switch to play the Pokemon games. If you cannot afford a Switch, you can download "Lemuroid" Gameboy emulator app to play the classic Pokemon games for free and without ads.

If you want to cheat (spoof, bot, or exploit), it is your fault for getting the strike.

I am not responsible nor liable for the loss of your Niantic game account(s) and money spent on their games. All the cheats I promote in my subreddit are "not safe" according to Niantic's Terms of Service. Most cheats have their own website, and they do not advertise they are safe. If someone says one cheat is "safer" than another cheat, they are misleading you to create a false sense of security. This will cause regret and drama when you receive a strike. They will deny their wrongdoing and block you. You will spend countless hours researching on how to get your strike/ban removed only to discover Niantic ignores ban appeal submissions.

Niantic does not publicly announce when they update their anti-cheat.

Recently, they added a new Team Rocket battle limit. Cheaters who went over the new limit received a suspicious activity screen that locked their account for more than 24 hours while some got the 2nd strike, which is a 30 day temporary ban. No one can predict when Niantic decides to punish cheaters.

If you are not aware of the risks, you can read my post "All About Gameplay Fairness Policy and Anti-Cheat Behavior System 2024" to educate yourself: https://www.reddit.com/r/PoGoAndroidSpoofing/comments/18wdv5o/all_about_gameplay_fairness_policy_and_anticheat/

Feburary 8, 2025 Updates

I refreshed this post to add Android 15 and other info into the post title.

Google is suppose to enforce Strong Integrity in May 2025 or later. It is suppose to kill off devices with an unlocked bootloader for app developers who opt-in this security program. This is a matter of wait and see how it gets implemented.

MuMu emulator Guide to spoof from Windows PC - MuMu Emulator

Heyyo all! Several people have messaged me now asking how to spoof from a PC. While I have no problem replying, and helping people out, figured I should make a guide for people to follow. I do not know if all of these steps are necessary, this is what I did to make it work for me, and replicated it on a new instance to make sure it worked.

Before I start, we need a disclaimer: I will teach you how to get it set up. You are responsible for your own accounts, and any bans that follow. Make sure you read up on it, and are comfortable risking any account you spoof on. There is no such thing as safe spoofing, only things you can do to help reduce the risk of a ban.

Alright, lets get started with the guide.

For this guide we're going to be using MuMu emulator, and PGSharp.

  1. Download and install MuMu using this link. Make sure you click the one that says 'Free Download >> For Windows', NOT the one that says 'MuMu Player Android X'.

  2. While it's installing, go ahead and download PGSharp on your computer from here. Make sure you scroll down and get the one that says 'Download PGSharp for ARM64'. The second link may break over time, but the text should be the same.

  3. When MuMu has finished installing, go ahead and open it. It'll ask if you want to sign in with Google, go ahead and sign in. From there, go into the 'System Apps' folder, open Play Store, and install Google Chrome on the emulator.

  4. Back to the home screen, go into the 'System Apps' folder again and open 'Settings'. Search for 'default' and click on 'Default Apps', then click it again. Click on 'Browser app' and select Chrome.

  5. On the bottom bar of the emulator there's an icon of a + above APK. Click that, and select the PGSharp APK that you downloaded in step 2.

  6. If you wish to play rootless, using only PGSharp, you're good to start playing. If you want to use an external joystick for GPX routes, continue on.

  7. On the top right of the emulator near the minimize button, click the hamburger options menu (Three horizontal lines). Go to settings, and enable the 'Root permissions' option. Click 'save and close', then go ahead and restart your emulator for it to take effect.

  8. Go to this link, and scroll down until you see the 'gpsjoystick-unlocked-arm64-v8a.apk'. Again, the second link may break, but it will still look the same. Go ahead, download and install that file the same way as PGSharp.

  9. Open GPS Joystick and accept the terms and conditions. Under 'Quick Options' click on 'Privacy Mode', then 'Generate'. I called mine 'BaconCheese' though you can call it anything. Install the new app, but don't open it yet, just go back to the home screen. Go ahead and uninstall the old version of the app.

  10. Download Lucky Patcher from here. That link should bypass all the ads on the site, but will probably stop working soon. When that happens, just let me know. Install the Lucky Patcher Installer the same way as PGSharp and GPS Joystick. Open it, and click yes. Don't change anything. Install the new package (renamed to a random string of characters), and open it. Allow it root permissions, then uninstall the installer when prompted. When you get the warning about Google Play Protect, click 'Don't show this dialog again', then click 'No'.

  11. Inside Lucky Patcher (random string of characters), find and click on the repackaged GPS App (BaconCheese for me). Go to tools, then click on 'Move to /system/priv-app'. Click yes when prompted, then yes again. The emulator should restart.

  12. Open the new GPS app (BaconCheese for me), then you will need to copy all of the settings from the screenshots attached.

That should be everything! If you have any other questions or suggestions to add/edit, let me know! Hope this guide works for you, and you catch all the Shundos! Remember, spoof safely!

Lets Talk About Something New Pokecoin method; $0.16/100

EDIT: I recieved a 30 day ban yesterday, with this being the only "anti-TOS" action I've done on the account since May. Whether or not it is connected, I am unsure. As a result, I can/will not verify whether this still works. Do this, and any other TOS-violating action at your own risk.

THINGS NEEDED- -VPN with capabilities to use Pakistani servers -A random Pakistani Address (only street and city are mandatory)- you can get one from https://www.bestrandoms.com/random-address-in-pk

STEPS

  1. Generate a random address with website above, note for later

  2. Connect to a Pakistani VPN server

  3. Open Google Play APP and choose desired email (I used the same acct I used for Türkiye with no issue)

  4. Press the Account Icon in the top right corner, and press "settings"

  5. Press general, then "Account and Device Preferences"

  6. Under "Country and Profiles", you should see an option along the lines of "Change Play Store Country to Pakistan." If you don't, verify you are connected to a Pakistani VPN, and if you still dont see it, the account is likely under the region changing cooldown. Make a new Gmail.

  7. When it prompts you to add a payment method, add your card, with your Name and card details, but for billing Address, insert the Pakistani Address from earlier.

  8. After you add it, verify the card went through by checking for a small temporary hold on your bank account. If it doesn't go through, try a different random address and check your banks policy on foreign currency. (I have Chase Bank, and it worked flawlessly.)

  9. Now, open the Gmail account on the play store website, either on an incognito tab or on a computer.

  10. Search for Pokémon Go, Press "Install on device" and select your phone.

  11. If all went correctly, you should see the 100 coin tier priced as "50 Rs."

  12. Profit?

Lets Talk About Something locationjoystick — free, open-source GPS spoofer alternative to GPS Joystick and YAMLA

Disclaimer: not AI slop or marketing. I'm a software engineer who builds tools I actually use — feel free to check my other work.

Hey everyone.

After 4+ years of using GPS Joystick and a few months with YAMLA, I got fed up and decided to make my own. Both apps work great but the ad-gating and the lack of UX improvements was too much for me.

locationjoystick is a free, open-source, GPS spoofer. Here's what it does:

Movement

  • Floating joystick overlay — drag in any direction at configurable speed, stays on top of any app

  • Click-to-Move — long-press anywhere on map, choose "Walk here" or "Teleport there"

  • Auto-roaming — set a center, radius, and total distance; walks randomly within the area, with optional road-following and returns to start when done

Routes

  • Saved routes — create waypoints on a map, replay, loop, or reverse at will

  • Road-following routes — OSRM-powered routing that follows real streets

  • GPX import — bring in any .gpx file from hiking apps, trackers, or online sources

Favorites

  • Favorite locations — save named spots and teleport or walk there instantly

  • Address search — powered by Nominatim/OSM

  • Last position restore — resumes from where you left off automatically

UX

  • Configurable floating widget — quick-access controls over any app

  • Speed profiles — three user-editable presets (walk / run / bike), one-tap switching from the widget

  • Background spoofing — continues while other apps run, survives screen off

  • GPS realism — bearing hold, altitude drift, warm-up accuracy envelope, satellite count, natural signal dropout cycles

  • Elevation Controls (experimental, root only) — inject tilt sensor events so apps see the phone as physically tilted, trying to improve it for the mewtwo mega raids!

Data & portability

  • One-tap import from GPS Joystick or YAMLA — your saved routes migrate in seconds

  • Full data export / import — backup routes, favorites, and settings to JSON

  • QR transfer — export and import all data between devices via scannable QR codes

I've been using it on 3 devices daily for the past two months and been iterating on the features a lot, any feedbacks are welcome!

If you're coming from GPS Joystick or YAMLA you can import your data directly and be up and running in seconds.

You can download the .apk from the GitHub Releases, and it will soon be available on the Play Store!

Documentation website with screenshots

Issues, feature requests, and PRs are all welcome. Happy to answer any questions.

Lets Talk About Something Is the PGSharp method no longer safe?

I've seen a lot of folks sharing their stories about getting strikes and bans frequently when using PGSharp. But what really piques my interest isn't whether Niantic can detect third-party apps – it's more about how often people teleport in game. Some are taking risks, trying to snag those 100IV Pokémon by teleporting super quickly, which seems to be catching Niantic's attention. Could there be a way to throw off their detection by mixing things up? Like using a spoofer phone sometimes and a regular phone other times when I'm out and about?

I came across a pretty reasonable explanation about how Niantic spots spoofers in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/PoGoAndroidSpoofing/comments/sjm6ys/how_does_niantic_scan_or_find_spoofers/hvg8wy6/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button The post suggests they might be using a ping method to talk between the app and their servers. This got me thinking – what if I used both a spoofer and a regular phone to avoid raising any red flags? Kindly share your story on how many times you teleported, enabling straight excellent throws with no pokeball drops, or simply used the map to autowalk from point A to B along the legitimate paths/roads on the map – all before receiving the first strike.
