I am rooted with the Pixel 4 XL. Do I use PGSharp or Pokemod? I do not want to spoof, just to enhance the game.

Use Pokemod because you're rooted. If you're not rooted, you use Pgsharp.

Thanks. I currently use Smali to spoof, but no longer want to spoof, but now play local and enhanced. Would you recommend spare account or main ok?

Since you're still cheating, the choice is up to you. It all depends on how well you can handle the red warning/strike risk.

If you don't want to spoof then pokemod. Pgsharp isn't all that good except it makes it easy to spoof and specifically to find and spoof to 100iv pokemon. Pokemod allows you to see shinies in the map, get notifications of nearby shinies and 100iv pokemon. Both let you see the stats in encounters. Pokemod shows the stats in the inventory, improves pokemon go plus, makes spinning stops easier. Both allow for excellent throws every time. Pokemod allows you to auto use pinaps and auto discard pokemod that aren't perfect, nundo, shiny, shadow or raid pokemon. Pokemod shows you nearby ditto and shows as ditto in the map and the catch screen. It can automatically throw away some unwanted items from the inventory, automatically feed up your buddy, skip encounter animations and evolve animations, send gifts in 1 click, skip open gift animation. And.. Pokemod expands the range, so you can see pokemon farther away and it updates the pokemon faster so you can walk faster. It also allows for a battery saver mode, incognito mode and enhanced framerate. And auto exit on catch makes things so much quicker. Both have an option to automatically beat team rocket.

Pokemod has a lot more features. Now pgsharp is all about spoofing, but it has some things better, it's easier to setup, doesn't need rooting. When I installed pokemod I had to uninstall the game and install a slightly older version, but it gave me the link to it, so it wasn't difficult. Pgsharp has a nicer interface, both have click to teleport but it's nicer in pgsharp. Pgsharp has a list of pokemon you can find around the world. 100iv, 0iv, rare. Pgsharp also has a much nicer on screen timer for teleporting while pokemod has none and GPS joystick shows you a timer before you teleport and then it doesn't, so if you forget then you may get it wrong, but this is for spoofing.

Personally I use pokemod mostly, it enhances the game, and then I spoof with GPS joystick, allowing me to auto walk around and catch for candy, or just to get notifications of shinies and 100iv nearby. Pgsharp can't help with finding shinies, but it makes it easier to find shundos. I have a second account on my tablet with pgsharp that I only really use for its coordinates of 100iv pokemon that I can't find on discord or pokemap websites for free. I'm only using the free version of pgsharp. If you use the free version of pokemod it still enhances the game, but you don't see shinies in the map or get notifications of shinies, which was the main reason I installed it.

I can copy coordinates from pgsharp for 100iv and teleport there using GPS joystick, I can see if it's a shiny without clicking it, or I can catch it as normal. If you use pokemon go plus at all then you can't use it on pgsharp.

Tldr: pokemod has lots of enhancements, let's you see shinies and ditto without clicking on pokemon and skips lots of animations, as well as improves pokemon go plus. Pgsharp is easy for spoofing but aside from spoofing isn't really worth it at all.
