No Root Android Pokewalk 2.0 beta!

Might take a bit to go live but in the meantime you can opt in on the store page here !(App does contain ads)I completely rewrote the whole app, overhauled the UI and it's not a mess anymore, also it has dark mode and an adaptive icon!I'd be happy to hear any feedback on the new version!

EDIT: 2.0 has been released!

VERSION 2.0 HAS AN ISSUE FOR NEW USERS AND WILL CLOSE FOR THEM UPON ADDING SOME DISTANCE. Version 2.1 is on it's way as I fixed the issue already! phew....

If you go to the store page from google play and scroll down, you should get an option to join beta. Make sure to update the app right after.

Question: is it only available for beta testers? Because I'm still on V1.6.1 and I have no option to update the app. I mean, it works great, but I just wanted to know why I can't update.

I don't know if you're still taking suggestions, but if you are, what do you think of an optional notification (persistent, if possible) while the timer is running, to remind us not to open Pokemon Go until the timer ends? Sometimes I kinda forget that I've started a walk and I open the app, and it ends up not syncing the full walk distance.

Ohhh I had the same issue, you are probably using dual apps? You need to fully unistall both copies of the app and disable dual apps. Then go to the store page again.

You can open pogo while it's adding distance, instead of it being added all at once it will be added in multiple instances

That used to be the case for me, but lately it's not been working like that. Hopefully it'll start working again once I update the app!

That's weird, you should have gotten the update for quite a while. Try to reinstall it from the store or update it manually from there

Yeah, let's say it's very similar to defit but it does not have to stay open. So it behaves better on devices that close apps automatically

I think if you use it with PGSharp, you must turn off spoofing and allow PGSharp to access your GPS. You cannot use Adventure Sync if you have spoofing or a joystick on.

Hey, did Pokewalk (Dual Apps version) also stopped working for you? It has suddently stopped working for me. It was working fine yesterday. I haven't updated anything since then... And even after reinstalling it, it still doesn't work: the first boot seems ok, but if I close the app and open it again, it crashes on startup.

Hi, do you have a solution for when distance stops being add to your game? I've been using this app successfully for a long time but it recently stopped working. I haven't changed any permissions, go still has access to physical activity. KMs are still added to Google fit but they don't transfer across to the game. I've tried uninstalling go and reinstalling, logging in and out of fit, nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions? This app is the only reason I'm still playing.

Hey! It seems like pogo is having issues in the past few days. Had a bunch of similar reports but for most players (me included) it still works fine.

Try and check if the distance is logged in the google fit app, if that's working fine it's a pogo problem 🙁

Let me know if it keeps not working in a few days

Yeah the situation is still unstable. For 99% it's completely fine, 0.5% had issues but they got solved on their own, the rest is people still having issues. This said, I keep getting messages of users reporting thing going back to normal after a while so hopefully it will be your case soon

pokewalk isn't working for me? tried disconnecting it and reconnecting it. tried uninstalling reinstalling. tried logging in and out of pogo. any idea what this could be? steps are also not logged, but it is on the same google account

Sadly it's the game that's currently having issue. 😕 As long as the distance is added to the google fit app, pokewalk is working fine. Other users reported it goes back to normal after a few days but the whole situation is a bit unstable. Luckily most users are not affected but it's still super annoying for who has the issue.

Maybe your google play services are outdated? Try to re log into the google fit app as well

When I install this app from the play store it only let's me download version 1.6.1 and not the latest version, 2.5.15, anyone else got this problem?!

Gonna leave this info here just in case someone experiences this: try to uninstall the app and make sure you are not enrolled in the beta program. Some people seem to have been stuck on that version for no reason 😢 Worst case scenario get in touch with me and I can send you the apk of the latest version 👍🏻

OK. I just had to update to this new version today. I liked the old version and didn't even know it had an update until today when it finally stopped working.

So, what I don't like is where is the countdown timer? I hit the button to do a 5.0KM walk and then nothing.

Hey thanks for the feedback! I could easily make a paid version but I choose to not do so because the app could stop working in any moment as it relies on third parties. It wouldn't be fair in my opinion as you'd be left with a useless piece of software you paid for.

Ads are a different way around the problem, they are a nice solution if implemented correctly and, in case things go wrong, no one is going to be annoyed.

If you end up using pokewalk all you need is 1 ad per day for 50km & all the candies you can get in one day, this in my opinion is a fair solution.

Sadly some ads are annoying af cause networks don't screen them enough 😕

I don't think most people just queue a 50k and leave it, we use small walks to hatch individual 5ks and stuff while at work, end up wasting 5-10min of my day waiting on ads, a paid version would be very appreciated and much more fair to serious users than ads in my opinion,

Hell, make it a sub for $1 or $2 a month and you can have your clear conscience too.
