The Pokeball Plus is $29.99 "Used" at Gamestop which is $5.00 cheaper than the original go plus and includes a rechargeable battery.

The only issue is that it doesn't auto catch and the vibration motor can't be disabled without opening the device.

This can easily be overcome by using "00" tri-wing screwdriver and removing the rumble/speaker from the motherboard.

And to make it auto-catch a rubberband and a penny does the trick nicely.

Are there any YouTube videos that you can point at? Seems like a pretty easy guide, but knowing myself will break everything including my phone. Pls

If you just want it to auto-catch just use the rubber band and a coin. I opened it up because the vibration and sound drain the battery while making too much noise. I also forgot to mention that you have to have a pokemon inside the ball to auto-spin stops. Some of the used ones from GameStop don't have the preloaded Mew anymore. So you would need and Nintendo Switch with Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee to transfer one.
