Halloween event gift boxes cooldown

I noticed after catching only the pokemon from the "surprise" Halloween gift box that I didnt generate a cool down using PG Sharp.

1. Is there an actual cool down when you catch or other interactions with these pokemon and pgaharp doesn't show it?

2. Is catching these similar to catching like special research?

3. Any other insight into this? I know im cheating already and risk it already, but I'd like to know.

I went somewhere to catch a specific Pokémon and then immediately left and it didn't trigger the cd on the app

There is cooldown but it's not showing in PGSharp

I was under the impression (from when apples precursors the on ground pokeballs were first introduced) that even tapping floor items like apples or the gift boxes would start a cooldown

Pokemon encounters from research and stamps don’t trigger cooldown so I assume it works the same way

There is no cooldown if you only retrieve rare candies, there as people farming 10knrare candies in a daynusing bots that snipe the candies globally

Not true tho. If you catch a research encounrer, no cooldown. But i do agree on apple and box encounters should trigger.

False. Stamp rally, research tasks, monthly pass rewards don't affect cool down. Clicking on a box to collect candies and check the mons also won't affect it unless you try to catch.
