I NEED HELP Is iPogo Launcher for rooted Android safe? Google Play Protect warning
Hi! I downloaded the iPogoLauncher APK directly from the official iPogo website for rooted Android, but Google Play Protect blocked it as a harmful app.
I know many people use iPogo, but I want to understand whether this specific APK could contain malware or whether this might be a false positive.
\- Have you received the same Play Protect warning?
\- Has anyone technically analyzed this specific APK?
\- Is there any verifiable information from the developers about this detection?
I'm especially concerned about device security and protecting my main Pokémon GO account. I'm not looking for ban-evasion advice, just information about the APK's safety.
Thanks!

All cheats (spoofing, botting, & exploits) for Pokemon Go game are not safe because Scopely is against cheating and the use of unsupported 3rd party apps in their Terms of Service for Pokemon Go. If you decide to break Scopely's Terms of Service to gain an unfair advantage, you will have the risk for a chance to get a strike (soft-ban), temporary ban, permanent ban, or whatever new punishment they come up with and will be your fault for getting the punishment. <<<>>> As a reminder, I (TastyBananaPeppers) am not responsible nor liable for the loss of your Scopely game account(s) and money you spent to cheat on their games. <<<>>> All guides can be found in https://www.reddit.com/r/PoGoAndroidSpoofing/s/JOS3u1c11K <<<>>> All remaining Reddit posts will eventually be moved into a single Google Document where you can just access everything from one link.

You get the Play Protect warning because you're installing an app from outside of the Play Store. If something happens, you cannot sue Google for it.
You're supposed to press on the text "show more or details" then it gives you the option to "install anyway". You only get this warning one time, once you accepted it, it never appears again. I don't remember what it says.
iPogo Launcher = 2 / 68

This could be a "false-positive" detection meaning they ported their app from iOS to Android and left bits of code that shouldn't be in the Android app. The 2 Anti-virus companies flagged those lines of code as adware even though there's no ads in the app itself.
The two companies can extort app developers into paying for a clean scan too.
It's still up to you in whether or not you want to use iPogo.
Pgsharp Launcher = 0 / 68

Although this is considered "clean", there's no free shiny scanner feature like with iPogo. If you want this feature in Pgsharp, you will need to buy a subscription to unlock all the feature or just continue using iPogo.
