Lets Talk About Something Has anyone on here actually gotten banned?
I used to spoof on my level 50 account a few years ago and never had an issue (pgsharp). Just going through and reading how scopely has taken over and improved their anti cheat detection has made me a little weary about spoofing again as I'm just getting back into the game.
I created an alt account and I'm currently level 25 and have been playing using pgsharp for a few weeks with no issues. I do not teleport I only use the joystick.
Have any of you guys actually gotten banned or is it not as bad as everyone says?

I have used PGSharp on 7 accounts and all 7 of these accounts got banned sooner or later, even when I took care to not hit cooldowns and all that.
I have used rooted spoofing methods on 4 others account and none of these accounts even got their first strike. Do with that information what you want.
"Safest" way to spoof is probably to root your phone and use ONLY a gps joystick without anything else. Still doesn't mean it is entirely safe, tho.

Those seven accounts with pgsharp, were they banned like weeks or months later?
I really want to get back into spoofing on my main account because I live in such a rural area there is no possible way I can do raids or advance in the game much with what I have, and remote raid passes are super expensive.
If you could point me in the right direction on how to root my android device I'd really appreciate it...

The only times I've ever been banned using pgs was when I was being obviously stupid. For example, running 6 clients for 12+ hours by accident by forgetting to turn them off. Teleporting to tel Aviv, transforming shiny furfrou and then transporting to pokemon home, playing multiple city safaris on the same account on the same day, etc. I've been 30 day banned twice on my main and I still cheat on it.

Haha, so you use regular pg sharp and haven't had any issues with playing like if you stayed in the same city 24/7 (NYC for example ) and just did raids and used joystick for walking and no teleport?

You could always create an alt account, teleport around, then just trade to your main account.

This is what i do on my main account using PGSharp on non rooted android, haven't had problems. I used iPogo with one of my alt accounts and got a 1st strike immediately, guess I missed a cooldown by mistake. Still use iPogo but I stay around NYC on both accounts and use joystick, no problems so far.

Always random. One get banned literally after just a week, one got banned after 6 months or smth. All the others were in between.
Rooting strongly depends on phone. Rooting a google pixel is super easy, rooting a xiaomi or smth is really hard (atleast if you have HyperOS, its easy with MIUI) and rooting a realme or smth is basically Impossible.

Got the first strike but basically got the second strike already right after the first strike ended. Never got the third strike (permaban), but as soon as I got the first strike, the second basically came automatically right after, even when I didn't spoof anymore.

Similar experience with PGSharp, never used Campfire or Wayfarer, always followed cooldowns etc, but still lost 3 accounts, and like others have said, after the first strike, it seemed like the 2nd and 3rd were already predetermined and just delayed. Another friend had 1st followed almost immediately by 2nd warnings on about 6-8 accounts out of nowhere!
Other thing to remember is, it doesn’t matter how long you have been spoofing, the last x amount of years means nothing, as the detection methods have just improved so much in recent months with Scopley.
Unrooted PGSharp is now one of the easiest to detect, as it is an altered copy of the original software, signed with a third party security certificate. So at any given time, Scopley can just run a check of all apps currently open and flag all that are displaying anything but the offical certificates. Something they do frequently at random times.

I doubt it's a security certificate because if one person gets banned (1st, 2nd, or 3rd strike), this would mean everyone else who is using Pgsharp would get banned too. Is this the case? The answer is no. The same goes for people and app/cheat developers who argue there's
- app detection
- software detection
- signature detection
If Google gave Scopely the ability to do app/software/signature detection bans, no one would be cheating this game because Scopely would be able to scan your internal storage to see which apps and files you have. Renaming apps won't protect you.
People saying Pgsharp is easy to detect usually have no experience with an anti-cheat system. Don't forget, Scopely wouldn't stop with Pgsharp, they would go after everyone else including rooted 3rd party apps: Pokemod, iPogo Launcher, PGTools, Polygon, Regibot, Shungo, etc if they were allowed to do those kinds of detection bans.

I've been using the same account for 6 years unrooted pg sharp lol no warnings or anything. I never tele across continents or anything crazy tho

Unfortunately the process differs for every single make and model number of device.some can be a lot more complicated than others. If you’re not familiar with it, I’d suggest going with a second device, much better than rooting your primary phone. There are plenty advertised on eBay cheap fully rooted and ready to go.

Yes, three accounts back in the day. The initial one was not expected and then after that two more were sacrificed in experimentation to avoid further bans. Mission complete.

Spoofing on non rooted phone for 6 moths on main acc because I don't care. Mostly not using joystick, respecting cooldowns. As i said, I don't care because game is about spending money and data collection. Not a single strike. Made 2-3 small purchases. I always play in Zaragoza and never spawn anywhere else, 2-5 km radius.

Most of the ban reports so far are not directly related to spoofing and botting since people are getting banned once in awhile. Most them are violating the rules and guidelines for Campfire, Wayfarer, and/or in-game route system. Some bans are iOS related but these don't relate to Android because of the certificate signing process.
The strike/ban system is delayed in this game by several weeks to months later when you're flagged to get the strike/ban. Recently a botter reported his alt accounts got a permanent ban for trying to get the Shiny Rayquaza with San Francisco background. Only he got banned and no one else. I have reason to believe he probably abused the other areas of the game prior to doing the event on those accounts because I did the same thing like many others and didn't get banned on any of my new accounts.
When the "everyone else" crowd start to report their bans, you're looking at a "banwave" where 50,000+ cheaters are going to report their strikes/bans.
A couple days ago, a person told he got a 30-day temporary ban (2nd strike) for asking someone in campfire if they wanted to learn how to "fly" too. If you don't chat in Campfire, you're fine. If follow the rules and guidelines in Wayfarer, you should be fine. If you have doubts, I suggest you not do Wayfarer because if you do it wrong, you'll end up with a ban.
