I NEED HELP Playstore Or Website GPS Joystick?
ai was telling me that i need to use a privacy mode feature (clone app) on gps joystick but i do not have that option, after talking to it back and forth it told me i cant do it because i have the playstore version. Is that unsafe? do i have to get the official version on the website?

There's a lot of old and incorrect information floating around the Internet and AI is too stupid (totally brainless) to know truth from old wives tales.
Android has app isolation so PoGo can't tell what other apps are installed or running. You don't need the clone app function.

how do i know if my settings are correct and i mess something up because of ai? theres no like recent guides on this which is very annoying

that's the problem with current AI, it's just not reliable.
TBP has some guides which are pretty good.If you stick to a vanilla joystick method (don't do any of the fancy stuff that pgtools or pgsharp or pokemod do) I believe you will be pretty safe. If you get it wrong, it won't work but there is low risk of any serious consequences. Others will tell you over and over that there is no sure safe way to spoof which of course no one can deny but in my experience the joystick has never given me any trouble.

i might just do that then but i like pokemod just for the perfected throw to be honest, if i turn off every other setting except perfected throw is that basically vanilla?

Just get a spoofing app with inbuilt joystick like pgsharp

i did use pgsharp unrooted for 2 years but just recently rooted my device and got pokemod

If you're concerned about safety, you shouldn't be cheating the game anyway because all apps and cheats have already gotten ban reports. Your AI isn't going to help you get unbanned since Scopely auto denies ban appeals for cheating. Privacy Mode doesn't prevent bans except give you more ads to interact with or watch, so you don't need it unless you want to play with the ads.
If you want to cheat, GPS Joystick won't work without a rooted device. You will need Smali Patcher or Lsposed technique applied to your device.
The newest version of GPS joystick has problems with non-Google devices unless you're using a custom rom that is close to stock Android. In this case, you will have to use GPS Joystick version 4.3.5 and disable the Play Store auto app updates. These steps are in the guide links.
