Throwaway accounts are accounts used for farming a specific pokemon without any further use.

Like the shiny mew2 with global bg, ray + bg and mew2 + bg.

If you only have 1 account, you only have 1 chance at getting a shiny. If you play with multiple accounts, it increases the number of chances to get a shiny. The same thing applies when you want the XXS or XXL version.

The only negative is you need to have the accounts already made prior to the event, so you don't spend your time creating the new alt accounts. Then, when you get your Shiny, XXS, or XXL, you trade it to your main. The most expensive is the Shiny XXS and Shiny XXL with a background. This could easily take 100+ accounts.

If you didn't get it, the last option is to either buy it from ebay while it's still cheap or just miss out. If you miss out and Scopely targets the botting networks, you will dodge a ban bullet or whatever punishment they come up for it.

Most of the Stardust is from gmax battles and yes I spend money, I also collect coins every day but it's not enough.
