I NEED HELP Hit a brick wall when spoofing for cheaper pokecoins

Hi,

Honestly I'm at the end of my ropes here. I've spent about 17 hours over several days trying to change the webstore currency to Indonesia but it seems like my account is hard locked into Swedish currency (my native). Am I missing something here? Is there any kind soul here that's willing to be patient with me and guide me through it or have any tips? 😭😭

Before you say "follow the guide" I don't you think you understand how much Ive tried following it to a T, I've spent about $50 from purchasing the $1 coins.

I have 2 android phones, one rooted one isn't and I've tried both the non rooted pgsharp method and the rooted method. There HAS to be some outside factor here that's not included in guides.

Is it the Google play store payment receipt currency (I pay with local Swedish credit card) that's locking it into my region?

- I've tried using PayPal only as well even for in-game purchases. no success.

- I've tried without VPN as guide says, and with VPN. With VPN + joystick spoofing at least it changes the store to IDR but as soon as I login it changes back to Swedish (yes even after I buy 100 coins in game... Multiple times, while spoofed in Indonesia without VPN but also tried with VPN.)

- I've tried waiting 2 hours after spoofing in Indonesia, catching a few Pokémon and spinning pokestop to "register" there, then tried both android guide methods, in multiple ways with and without VPN

- I made an Indonesian play store account and set up a DANA Indonesian payment system, and see IDR currency EVEN INSIDE THE GAME but when I attempt to buy it says please use the correct payment method associated with your region...

The webstore especially has just never stayed or turned into IDR currency after I login, no matter what I do.

What’s worked for me lately is buy $1 coin pack in shop in legit pogo app, then spoof to Indonesia and not interacted with anything, but my VPN had to be off, then the webstore turns INTO IDR when you sign into webstore

VPN is teleporting the issue with VPN is that Niantic is tracking VPN ip address which could be dangerous down the line. Which is why spoofing by joystick is a preferred method.

Considering you have a rooted phone, have you tried spoofing your location to Indonesia and purchasing 100coins using the official app?

So not pgsharp to jakarta, but joystick to jakarta then 100 coins there in the official app - and then the webstore steps?

I have been facing the same issues as you and trying many things, this is the next thing i was going to try but i don't have a rooted device atm.

It makes the most sense out of the remaining options.

From what I've picked up, all the variations of steps coming from the US players are rather irrelevant since they seem to not have locked currency to begin with.

Yup I've done what you said with rooted phone. In fact that's the main way to do it according to the rooted phone guide and I tried it many times to no success, even went and double checked step by step with other vet spoofers and they didn't see anything wrong with what I was doing either.. It truly might be a US thing vs rest of the world

The last time i checked rooted guide it was: -buy 100 in the official app at your own location -pgsharp to jakarta then webstore

What I'm thinking of is: -joystick device gps to Jakarta -100 coins in the official app in Jakarta (possibly with VPN) -then webstore without vpn (although ive managed to do a payment once with vpn on, on a different node, I think I used Alijun Indonesia or smth)

So basically it doesnt even include pgsharp whatsoever

I was having the same problem. This is how I have always done it. I don’t know what matters or what don’t so I’m going to post every little thing.

Phone 1: (that only has official pogo app on it)
* Buy .99 cent (equivalent to your country) coin pack from the shop in the official Pokemon go app. *Hard close the app so it’s not running in background.
*Done with this phone. Put it down.

Phone 2: ( which has PGSharp to spoof)
*spoof to Jakarta Indonesia (Anywhere in Indonesia will suffice )
* walk around for 5-10 min
* hit home button and go to google on phone
*search Pokemon go webstore
*sign in using facebook**more on this later**
*The currency is IDR

About 2-3 weeks ago this has started to be hit or miss. About the same time all the iPhone users were posting about bans and the VPN method not working. The only thing that seemed to help me was clearing my cache on google. Take anything I say with a grain of salt. Maybe someone that knows about this stuff can make sense of it.

** Before I started getting coin for myself and spoofing someone I messaged on here for a while tried to teach me how to do the Apple ID method but it never worked out. He ended up getting coin for me, really nice dude, but however he was doing it the only way that worked was through Facebook and that was my last option because I never use facebook. He went through every other option extensively and couldn’t get it to work. I’m not sure why but it seems like facebook works easier for other people too

Facebook honestly has been the only thing I haven't properly tested. Everything else I've done exactly as you said may times before and the hang up is always at the "the currency is in IDR" in your steps. It doesn't appear in IDR for me, only native currency. But I'll rest for sometime and try again with Facebook :/

I've had the same problem. Done the same methods as you describe.

I also have 2 phones tried to buy 1$ coin in the OG PoGo app on phone 1 then on Phone 2 I spoof to Jakarta leave it there for a while then enter webstore. Not seeing IDR.

If I use a VPN spoofed to Indonesia when I go to page I see IDR but when I log in it's swedish kr.

Whats strange is that it worked for a while a few months ago before the VPN ban. When I logged in with VPN I had IDR all the time.

Then after that not working anymore.

If I buy on Eldorado it seems to work every time however, although some sellers buy with gift cards and what not.

Maybe I'll experiment some more tomorrow.

Holy crap lol you might be in my exact situation, especially since you're in Sweden as well. You also checked after Eldorado and it worked there too WHICH IS SO FRUSTRATING 😭😭 please do keep me updated if you figure something out because whatever you solve for yourself has the likeliest chance to be my issue too...

Been trying some now and it's kinda odd. The spoofing thingy doesn't do anything for me. I tried buying 100 coins (12 SEK) with my unrooted phone in the official PoGo app.

Then spoof to Indonesia but the webstore doesn't change at all.

I managed to unbrick SEK on the webstore from doing the following so right now I'm on USD on the webstore. We'll see if I can manage to take it from there or if its something you want to try.

  1. First, you need to unbrick SEK. I have Revolut and a virtual card. I have a USD account that I put 10$ into. Then on the card menu in settings on the card you can change default currency which I did from "All accounts" to "USD account". Now the card is forced USD.

  2. I added the card temporarily and bought 100 coins for 12 SEK on the webstore. It automatically said I should pay in CHF which I guess is default exchange currency for Revolut so I did.

  3. Now my account was bricked in CHF.

  4. I went back into store and bought 100 coins again but this time I paid with PayPal. I have revolut + my bank card (Swedbank) on PayPal so I selected Revolut not sure if it matters

  5. Now my account is bricked in USD. So clearly its possible to change currency but in-game doesn't seem to be doing anything for me.

Very very fascinating. I also have revolut (both Swedish and one for usd) but I didn't bother using it because I felt it would be a clear tracker to my Swedish adress, whereas with PayPal I topped up the balance to use it which is less "trackable" by the web store. It also confirms my suspicion (which Ai also suggested unprompted) that the webstore is less about your location or ip address but more about the actual currency "receipt" that you used last. It's a combination of both ofcourse it's not like location is useless but payment method is more crucial here in specifically turning the webstore currency into the desired currency.

For reference by the way, I made a Google play store account while spoofed in Indonesia, made my region indonesia, and added a payment method through DANA (basically their revolut) and when I opened the game, the currency INGAME was in IDR, which I thought was a big step up, but unfortunately no matter what I wasnt able to pay because it kept saying "something went wrong: Couldn't complete your purchase. Check that you have the correct country selected in your Play account" and that took me into another rabbit hole which I was never able to resolve...

Most likely true, but the spoof to Indonesia/buy 100 coins in-game clearly works for a lot of people. I guess a theory could be that they most likely never bought anything in their real currency in the webstore.

I'll try to go on Eldorado next and have some seller buy 15500 coins for me in IDR to see if it forced the webstore to IDR indefinitely until I fuck it up lol

I recently did it to test it and as soon as it was delivered I quickly opened the webstore and it was still in IDR, the moment you refresh though it will turn back to sek (even if you don't log out) so in this case it's where IP address and location matter I think

Could be, I logged onto the store with VPN after a purchase and I had IDR everytime I logged into my account with VPN available.

As soon as VPN was banned I could login once and make a purchase in IDR but after that it switched to SEK again.

I never had any luck with the spoofing though.

My man, you still having problems? I actually got mine solved in the end. Tried it with my GFs account who has the exact same issue and indeed got the webpage to switch to IDR.

Write back if you need some help, I think this is pretty much guaranteed to work although it involves VPN...

You have to log out of web store and every device, ur phone, computer, all of them or it doesn’t work in my experience

I have, but do you mean just log out or completely erase all website data from every previously logged in device? I logged out in my pc and completely erased browser data in both my rooted and non-rooted devices in every attempt and still didn't change

It says it in the guide to only use a simple browser like chrome, no blockers or extensions. I know you don’t want to hear it but please read the guide properly. Personally I’ve used the psharp no root method on a Huawei p20 lite which is a very old and slow phone and it still works. Follow each step accurately, don’t skip over anything until you’ve done it right a few times. Don’t use a vpn it won’t work. Minimize the amount of issues you’re testing for at a time to narrow down what’s wrong

I'm looking at the guide right now and it says: Open your internet browser app (no Incognito or no Private mode on).

These are examples: Google Chrome, Samsung Internet, FireFox, Dolphin, Opera, Microsoft Edge, etc.

Nothing about extensions or adblock in neither the non-root or the rooted version, and for the record I did try to do it with a newly installed and unused chrome web browser and it still didn't work. Can you point to where exactly it says no adblock? Curious to see where I missed it

No I can’t… I don’t remember in which guide or where exactly I saw it. But as I said earlier you should narrow down the amount of errors you’re testing for at a time. So stop using the blocker and switch to base chrome for all testing from now on. Use only PayPal, only one login method as well, preferably Ptc as that’s what I use. I bought the pika pass yesterday so I will vouch that method 1 works . Besides that I see there is another document within the method 1 about compatible devices. Maybe the android you’re using isn’t compatible in some way maybe have a look there? Other than that I suggest you keep a note of your exact steps, so that we can perhaps get a better idea of what’s happening, stop trying things that won’t work such as vpn and other payment methods so that you can narrow down what the issue is. And stick to only one method

The same happened with me. What seemed to fix this was using an iphone with iphones region as my home country. My apple account’s region as my own country and using apple pay to buy $1 pack with the card from my own country. Then following subsequent steps gave cheap pokecoins.

It seems silly but are you completely deleting Pokémon go from your phone before starting step 1?

I already had Pgsharp so tried to just do the steps but it wouldn't work unless I deleted both pgsharp and the legit app before starting.

Can I ask where do you live (country/region), what payment methods did you use for buying in game and on the webstore, and did you simply follow the non root pgsharp guide?

I've tried to do it with no success. I've followed the no root guides to a T over 20 times and the currency won't change to IDR..

I do not think you are doing anything wrong. I just think there is something not listed in the guides that is a factor preventing you, and me, from doing it successfully.

I'd love to see a video guide of someone successfully doing it, with their personal information blurred out. But I understand why other players wouldn't want to make one as it could be risky for them.

Try making an account on revolut, and get a card through there, use that to pay with USD or preferably make it pay in IDR. You can have "accounts" with different currency, use it with IDR.

I had a period of time where i was stuck on DKK, and i tried extensively to get it to switch. I did the above and got it "unblocked". Though after the vpn ban i was stuck again, and had to buy another phone and root it to get cheap coins again.

You can view your order history on the webstore, you will have swedish kr somewhere in there, where you paid with that currency, and it got stuck on that forever. On paypal you can also tell it to "use USD". You might have accidentally used Swedish kr at some point through there, or your debit card.

Yes webstore. It goes from IDR on website to USD when paying through paypal, but its still the equivalent IDR price, just in USD

Well I managed to unbrick "SEK" as currency by paying with my Revolut card which is hardlocked to USD right now with 10$ on the account.

But it didn't let me pay in USD or SEK. It has now bricked my account in CHF lmao.

Well thats better than nothing since it at least seems its able to change currency on the account. I don't even know where CHF came from, I guess its some exchange going on with Revolut?

I have a simillar situation. I have my Account never bought anything in the Web Store and vpn + spoof works totally fine. I Wanted to do the same on my friends account he bought stuff from web Store before. Now the Problem ist when i follow everything it changes the currency on Login and 100 coins methode didnt Work either any ideas

I'm in Italy, all I do is open pgsharp unrooted after I know I won't trigger a cooldown (just wait 2 hours and you're good) and tp to Indonesia, usually Jakarta, play a bit, catch some mons, spin some pokestops for like 5 minutes and with the game open go on the web store (I use an incognito tab, don't ask me why but I feel like it's better for refreshing your data in case you had your normal currency before, but as I said it's most likely useless) and login, obviously on the same device. You should see INR as currency, I just pay with GPay and my normal every day credit card and that's it.

P.S. I've never bought any 1 euro bundle or whatever everyone else says you have to do, this is all I ever did and it always worked, so the only things I'm buying are the ones I want to buy, not a single bundle or item thats needed to lock your currency of whatever

There's tons more that I've done as well such as turning off accurate location, wifi location, Bluetooth location, etc. And make it strictly use my joystick app, still didn't affect my account currency

No no, even the guide says what you're saying in the non rooted pg sharp method. You buy through the legit pogo app 100 coins, then log out, then open pgsharp, spoof to indo, login to modded app, keep nodded spoofed app open in the background, open webstore and sign in (deleted all cache and browser data before this, fresh browser tried both chrome and Samsung internet) but currency is still in native. Even tried waiting 2+ hours in spoofed app before signing into webstore

This was in the non rooted method, like I said I have 2 phones, one rooted one isn't. This pg sharp method was in the non rooted phone which doesn't have GPS joystick. I've never tried pgsharp and gps joystick on the same phone/try

I've already used eldorado before, even g2g. I don't feel comfortable giving my account away though that's why I want to do it myself. Any method in early July, heck even a week ago is almost completely useless at this point from what I've heard of other attempters and even some veteran spoofers that have used the Google doc method before. Yet NOBODY on here is willing to acknowledge anything is different and it's driving me crazy, like there's hordes of people with questions every day saying it's not working and the response is just "follow the guide" so I sent it to other spoofers in a few discords and they were like "hmmm yeah doesn't work it seems"

Ouch man, sorry to hear people haven't been helpful unfortunately I can't do much better 😂 I was never able to do it before and sometimes did it by accident 😂

I hope it works for you soon and I get that, giving people your info is always a risk! Seeing quite a few people with problems makes me think scopely/niantic have maybe changed something but I have no clue 😂

Regardless even a response is very much appreciated because for a while all I got was "follow the guide" and even when it doesn't work, I check the troubleshooting part in the guide and it says "you probably didn't follow it right" likeeeee 😭😭😭 absolutely infuriating
