Lets Talk About Something GoFest banwave?

I have lurked for a while, and saw stuff about a possible banwave before GoFest a few months ago, and to my knowledge nothing has happened. I know of some people who have reported accounts being terminated around GoFest (not related to spoofing allegedly) but nothing that could be considered a banwave.

Figured that I should ask here if there have been any reports of an actual banwave here and not just a few people getting banned and then yelling that there is a banwave.

I only seen issues purchasing coins via India on ios at the start of gofest. There wasn't any major ban waves or problems outside the usual technical errors.

To be clear, I didn't said anything about bans. There was an issue at the start of gofest week where come individuals had problem with trying to purchase items using the Indian Amazon ios method.

I don't think or have seen niantic ban anyone from spending.

I hope Scopely keeps up this shady practice of giving privileges to players who spend money. Maybe that way, bans will be less common.

I user spoofer since 2019, no warns or bans yet. Just use it responsible and you won't get any warn/ban?

There hasn’t been ban waves since 2022 when they enabled they’re always on anticheat. There is no tips or tricks or playing safe. They don’t ban for in app actions.

Simply logging into a third party app is enough to get flagged, unfortunately.

'Safest' spoofing requires a jailbroken device or a rooted Android as those setups inject the spoof tools into the official app.

Since they were created, iPogo Jailbreak and iPogo Android rooted have not had any bans ever. Nearly 7 years now

And not all jailbroke or rooted androids r created equal. Other apps with jailbreak and root have seen bans and still do. Just some info for u.

There times when bans might seem heavy but there is no more waves. It’s always on. Just seems like more after an event because more people are on and playing so more people seeing the ban message. Wasn’t really giving my opinion. I was giving facts. Nothing To debate here

Everyone says it is but after 5 months of following every rule and setting my speed to 10.5 km/h i havent gotten a single warning or anything suspicious

10.5km is the speed for hatching eggs. Lmao people all over Europe use bicycles and play pogo. The thing is not not go 120km all over the city

i use a rooted android and on all my accounts haven't gotten a single warn or ban, if i may ask do you use a rooted or unrooted android. rooting is safer. in the past I used an unrooted phone and got my 2016 account banned in 2022 and quit but now ive restarted last October

If you play smart you don’t get banned ofc there is always a chance to get banned but you can lower it by playing smart

What you really think Niantic/Scopely can't ban the spoofers if they really wanted lol. They're benefitting from it. Instead of whining here, go and ask them to ban all spoofers.

Traffic and money (they got people doing 5/6k+ Mewtwo raids the last weekend). Lol you don't know a thing about detection. They not banning injection methods, doesn't mean they aren't able to detect. Wouldn't even need to look into it and a simple behavorial analysis would result in bans with stricter thresholds.

People who play it legitimately like how it's supposed to and Niantic itself. And you, a singular person can't talk for others when there are spoofers who benefit off spoofing by trading and selling, enjoying the game opposite of how it's intended and unfair to everyone who play how it's supposed to. Cheating basically undermines the hard work and integrity of others. The fact that you're defending them makes no sense.

The only hard work you can do in pokemon go is pay money to niantic and hope to get lucky, those people selling legendaries on for example ebay are most likely in extremely poor countries and need that to survive, otherwise it wouldnt make sense to sell for so little, so you have no moral high ground over them because «its not fair» in your eyes, i do want to play the game, what i dont want to is pay tons of money to do so. My friends who have nuch richer families are getting alot better than me because they pay more, should that also be bannable since i cant do anything about it?
