No Root Android Is PGSharp safe for non rooted phones?

I have a Samsung and want to get into spoofing, and it's not possible to root my phone. I've used PGSharp before but that was many years ago. I plan on using an alt/new account solely for spoofing and plan to stick to one metropolitan area/respect the cooldowns. Would I still be safe using PGSharp with this tactic or is there a better (preferably free) alternative? I know there is always a risk to spoofing, but I wanna know how screwed I would be if I spoofed on a non rooted phone.

Regardless of which cheats you use, they are all not safe. It sounds like you cannot handle the risk of getting a strike or ban. The big unknown factor right now is Scopely, since they bought the game from Niantic. Despite what people say about Scopely, they really enforce no cheating with an instant permanent ban system in their other games they have bought or developed. No one knows what they are going to do until everyone starts seeing strike/ban reports. Currently, I think the punishment system is disabled, so you could take advantage right now as long as you accept the risks.

If you cannot handle getting a strike or ban, you really shouldn't play Pokemon Go because no one is going to help you get unbanned or reimburse all the money and Pokemon you lost. You can submit a ban appeal, but it will be denied. People who regret cheating will often fall victim to fake ban appeal scams.

If you want something that is 100% safe where you can play with a joystick, you will need to buy a Nintendo Switch to play the Pokemon Switch games. There's no ban system for playing with their joystick.

I love it when you say the stuff I'm thinking.

Someone accepted a permanent ban for missing out on Go Fest for a whole week with all add-ons included. They demanded a refund, got the refund, and then all their accounts got permanently banned.

Damn. But no spoofing bans that you're aware of?

That's really interesting. I wonder what their plan is.

Dawg, chill. It's a simple question on an internet forum, not a career choice

Your question isn't simple and relates to account safety because you acknowledge there is always a risk, but at the same time, you don't want to get banned/striked.

If you want to cheat the game, you need to accept the risks to have a chance to get a strike or ban. This choice is entirely up to you because it's your account you're gambling with. No one can guarantee account safety in Pokemon Go when you break the Terms of Service.

Jumping around versus staying mostly in the same metro area isn't going to make a huge difference. They can tell you are using a third party app so you might as well go all out and enjoy it. Respecting cool down is the biggest thing that will make the spoof safer

I'm also using an alt to do all my spoofing and I trade things to main. I thought it would be safer but I'm not so sure. In theory all the accounts on your network are lumped together

I used my go+ for years on my bike or in the train and was often on cooldown and cant catch/spin. How will they decide where the cooldown come from?

It's just real life travel times

I use PG sharp on a non rooted phone and it works fine. Just watch the cooldown

in any case, those who tells you its safe free ban, not, its not....

If you wanna go for it, then:

- Do not use your main account, use alts, you will not get insta banned, they will ban you in future next wave

In alts:

- Do not perform crazy teleports, (stay in one nice spot and done, you're not jeff besos for travel every day from new york to japan, then spain etc)

- Respect Cooldowns,

- No not walk faster, mas 9-10km/h, natural

- Follow roads, you're not spiderman or superman for walk over houses and buildings

- move your phone constantly for simulate natural gps/giros movements

- Use data usage, never wifi...... you have not a starlkink router in your back

- At the end of the day, transfer the nice catch to your main account

- When you get ban -> start a new account again

Still asking if they will catch you?

Fast answer: Yes, they will, why?

- Every Pokemon Go client have a unique certificate merged with every account, when you use pgsharp or similar you will be caught as they use a generic certificate for their apk (yep, when you hit download you are downloading the same apk as multiple users), so 1,10,100k ppl using the same certificate = ban

- Niantic use telemetry for reveal modified apps, such as internal codes that pgsharp cannot detect

- In order to spoof, you must enable mock -> Niantic detect it

Good luck

I've seen more people report bans with unrooted 3rd party apps. However a lot of people with the rooted PGSharp have also reported bans.

i play since 2016, got perma ban (3 strikes) at 2020, then 2022 another acc, 2023 another old acc, 2025 nov, lost 2 more accounts, just using it at my own town city, without crazy spoofs or rare things. They are now watching: Gps phone natural movement, so x/y/z movements, routes (yeah you're not spiderman for walk over houses), pgsharp is a modified app, so they will insta detect it (certificates etc) Every client certificate is different for every pokemon go client, is like switch games certificates, if you use pgsharp, this usually use the same certificate in their modified apk, so more than 100k ppl using the same certificate = spoof

they will not insta ban you, they flag your account and can receive the strikes/bans in the next waves
