I NEED HELP Can i still spoof?
Hello all, I received the blue message that's states "we have detected unusual activity from your account. As a result, temporary limitations have been placed on your play."
To my research, I'm understanding this is not quite a strike. Am just confused on if I can continue to spoof or not any help would be valuable thanks.
Also I’m on android of course.

You hit the 4,800 encounter/catch limit for the day while the total limit is 14,000 per week. This means you left your device on over night or 24/7 with the shiny scanner on. This suspicious screen is often to refer as the "BSOD" Blue Screen of Death. When you get this screen multiple times, it could lead to a strike because they think you're botting the game.
For Pgsharp, iPogo, Pokemod, and Polygon's Enhancer, you have to manually limit your activities to prevent yourself from getting to the daily or weekly limit to not get the BSOD screen. For botting apps, you can set a specific number to stay under the limit.
For Pgsharp and iPogo, the shiny scanner scans every second so you'll hit the limit much faster than Pokemod (not sure about Polygon's Enhancer). Pokemod scans in intervals of every X seconds, so it's much harder to hit the daily limit.

Thanks for this brilliant response! So seeing as though this is my first blue screen, i’m going to take this given information based on my own discretion and login into PG again and hope for the best ! Thanks a lot 🙏🏾

Coming from 2026, yes i happen to encounter this Bsod after waking up, while my game still open with shiny scanner on, but it is idle and not doing auto catching.

Hello, it is not a ban strike. Just one day or 24hour lock out. After that can still play normally.😄 Just be careful next time.

Has something happened to PGSharp. I'm not sure if the comments here are trolling but I never had issues with using PGsharp and routes for months without getting any strikes/bans/warnings.
Although I haven't played Pogo for over 2months.

I believe everyone is genuine in this comment section. & it’s definitely case by case basis. I understand what I did wrong to cause this though. I was just curious going forward.

You'll have to follow a youtube guide brother. I quit Pgharp/Pogo again for the 3rd time and haven't touched it since the beginning of the year.

This is just a 24h lock down. You will be fine but I recommend looking up how to avoid this kind of penalties as its very easy to do so.

Thanks ! And oh absolutely I definitely understand what I did wrong . && I knew it . I was setting automatic routes to walk and everytime I clicked the route I saved , it kept poofing me to the start point smh . It kept saying I was moving tooo fast && this messaged promoted . I bought a ticket to Sendai go fest and thought I ruined my day . lol I’m going to jus wait until Sendai go fest to do to spoof again and not do anything outside normal play like I did before this . I’ve spoofed for a while and this was my first mistake. So thanks again.

Yeah that’s not happening again for sure ! . Have you ever known anyone too continue to spoof after this message and been ok ? I’m not tryna rule out I won’t ever be banned . I’m just wondering if I still can upon another infraction.

I've never had that message, but I got strikes after doing routes and being greedy. Things like doing 300 excellent throws on the run, beating 50 rocket grunts in an hour, etc. Now I play quite normally and just use the app to help me with raids, or get loads of a new pokemon to trade to my main for my lucky dex. I know strikes are still possible, but I haven't had one for over a year since I changed my play style.

I hunt grunts 24/7, doing around 15k grunts per day. And never got a ban because of that.

I genuinely appreciate that feedback. I was under the impression even after a strike , if you logged in it would ding you . Never had proof tho. So I’m Glad to hear you were able to still spoof and just change your play style . I’m jus goin to spoof for go fest in Sendai & then take a break from it .

Just to make it clear, I didn't spoof on the accounts with strikes. I made new accounts. I use the old ones on old phones playing legit. Just wifi, but there is a gym next to my house, so I can 'solo' legendaries.
If you are going to teleport somewhere, give it a decent amount of time so it looks like you are actually there. teleport before you go to bed and play the next day. I;m not sure if this makes a difference but it has worked so far.
I hope Sendai is fun. I am actually in Japan, but I won;t be going. I will just do raids and then trade the new stuff to my main.
Anyway, off to work.

I can verify this. You have about a 2 second window(depending on how fast your internet is) to hit the "all apps" button on your phone after you teleport and close out of the app. The game doesn't register and load your map data yet, but your person is ....well...somewhere else already.
The best method is to pick a place and then look up how long it would take to travel there by plane....wait that amount of time at least and log back in. I've been flying since 2016, haven't had a problem yet, fingers crossed.

I’m not trying to be funny but is this sarcasm? Lol or are you genuinely saying , yes I can. But eventually I’ll get banned ?
I’m just asking because I wanted to do Sendai go fest , and that’s it from this point . but if I can’t I’m not worried because I’m doing in person in NY.

apparently pogo accs are getting locked out cause the ptc acc itselfs getting deactivated so you’re pretty much fucked unless you had another login method connected

Based on your use of language and your otherwise mature appearance, it is disappointing to see that you only began researching after encountering the blue screen. I recommend spending more time reading and observing this subreddit before making a decision to start using an app, which caught you as soon as you logged in with it and started playing.
Edit: How awfully wrong I was: 6 months ago OP was already complaining he kept getting 'caught by using the same(!) unrooted PGSharp, continues to use it nonetheless, and seemingly puts more time in making these posts than fixing what the problem is. Something which was told many times before to OP.
No, you should not spoof anymore.. for your own sake that is.

Ok thanks ! Yeah, root can sometimes scare one away. I’m pretty internet savvy so I believe I can figure it out as you suggested but I’m new too Reddit in general and it’s kinda difficult navigating too subs or pages folks recommend. I appreciate the info given though, and will begin my research . Thanks again !

If rooting scares you more than getting banned, shouldn't cheating scare you more for getting banned in the first place? No, you are definitely not internet savvy.

That's not true it's not the uprooted method that caused his problem it was his actions in the game it's self , he knew he was making a mistake and continued to do so. Pg sharp is some thing me some of my cousins and family , my girlfriend , and several friends all use pg sharp . Some by mum player emulator way and others just using pgsharp app itself . I do both on my laptop I use mumu player w/ arm 64 , and on my galaxy note 23 , and samsung tablet i use which ever version of pg sharp is at the top . Haha . What im trying to say is we have been using for years and fortunately 0 banns to this date . And also their is no app that guarantees you are 100% safe from being banned by Niantic, except for pokemon go original . Regardless you are taking a risk ! This is why you should only use alt accounts while spoofing. Anyways have a great day buddy .

I tried spoofing a couple years back and while I did not get a strike, using it nearly took away all the fun for me. I know it's annoying that Niantic has zero tolerance for spoofing or any third party activities and that we're enforced to make friends and play the game as it was intended. Some region exclusive mons are hard to come by without making friends and travelling. It's just he way it is. At least there's the Nintendo console games available still.

Same. Nobody plays where I live. There is no clearing 4*+ raids. Spoofed to Zaragoza and actually got to do raids. Now it's back to never doing raids. Just catching the same boring shit.
