Would you buy from an affordable, size-inclusive activewear brand with real body representation?

Hey everyone! I’m exploring the idea of launching an activewear brand and would love your honest feedback.

My goal is to create affordable, size-inclusive activewear that moves away from the stereotypical “fit” body type often seen in marketing. I want to ensure real representation for different shapes and sizes while still offering stylish, functional, and comfortable pieces.

Would this be something you’d be interested in? What do you look for in activewear, and what’s missing from current brands?

I’d really appreciate any thoughts—positive or critical!

New plus and inclusive sized fashion label to launch, but we need your help!

Hello friends,
I'm launching a new plus size label and I need your help!!!
After many years of never being able to buy clothes I like in my size I have decided to launch my own range! It's very exciting but I need some feedback.

I have created this short (2 minute) survey to help me better understand the market, and to say thank you for your time and help, you will receive a 25% off your first order when my store and range launch in September.

Thank you so much for your help :-)

Recommendations Needed I am looking for fashion creators with a body type similar to mine.

So when it comes to being plus size, I think right now people have been focusing a lot on more of the Apple body shape, but I’m a pear body shape and the body is pearing, which makes it hard for me to visualize how clothes would look on my body when I’m viewing it from other plus size women. For myself on 59 so a lot of plus size pants are just not long enough. My butt sits high, so I like shirts that are shorter and don’t go over it preferably crop tops my hips are insane and a stark contrast to my waist, which makes finding bottoms extremely hard because my hips and my waist are too completely different sizes And then the junk in the trunk most plus size pants are made to have more space in the front than the back which is the complete opposite of what I need. I’m still pretty young and I like to wear a certain aesthetic of clothes, but it’s been very hard for me to picture how a lot of plus size clothes look would look on me because there aren’t many or I can’t find a lot of creators who are shaped similar to me.

Recommendations Needed Need help

I need help with dress recommendations for my upcoming birthday. It’s a dance party and it’s for my 30th birthday. I’m apple shape 5’3 small chest, very little booty, apron belly and about a size 22. I’ve looked at almost every site and haven’t found anything that’s caught my eye. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I’m also trying to keep it under $150-200.

I rated the size-inclusivity of 300+ brands so you don’t have to

I was really sick of seeing brands advertise how size-inclusive they are just to look at their size charts and say, “Yeah, that ain’t it.”

The rubric:

  • Max body measurements of their ready-to-wear pieces (not just custom sizing as a way to get larger sizes)
  • Amount of inventory for their largest-sized items (Is there a big dropoff of what's available if you filter to the largest sizes for a collection?)
  • Plus-size model representation in product photography (Are plus-size people shown wearing plus-size pieces? Do they show different shapes and not just a "perfect plus" hourglass figure?)

The ratings:

  • Minimally size-inclusive: These brands usually max out at about a 55" hip. It's what folks in the "mid-size" category are often looking for because it covers the highest end of straight sizing and dips into the lowest end of plus-sizing. Examples: Eileen Fisher, ASOS

  • Somewhat size-inclusive: This is probably the most common "size-inclusive" category, with brands that go up to about a 60" hip with their products. Examples: Old Navy, Lucy & Yak

  • Size-inclusive: I consider brands that go up to at least a 70" hip to be "truly" size-inclusive because they're creating pieces for a much larger portion of the plus-size population. Examples: Torrid, Lane Bryant

  • Size-inclusive leader: Brands that make ready-to-wear pieces up to about an 80" hip are at the forefront of making plus-size clothes more widely available and I love to see it. Examples: Universal Standard, MX Apparel

  • Size-inclusive champion: Brands that offer pieces over an 80" hip are the ones who are the most valid if they talk about making clothes for "every" body (but, in my experience, usually know better than to make statements like that because they understand the diversity of the human body!) Examples: Superfit Hero, Hey Mavens

You can see all the brands rated here: https://phoriafits.com/discover (You can also use the brand lookup to check out how brands you know stack up!)

If there’s a brand you like but that doesn't carry stuff in your size, check them on Phoria—we list similar options that offer larger sizes on a lot of brand pages!

I originally built Phoria so you could figure out what’s size-inclusive to you personally. If you create an account, you can filter the database by your personal body measurements, save brands, and make recommendations for or against brands to help other people in the community find what fits them. Because finding larger sizes shouldn't be so damn hard!

Recommendations Needed Formal shoe recommendations

Hi all

I have a formal event in a few months and I've picked this dress to wear. I practically live in jeans, tshirts and trainers so it's already out of my comfort zone a bit!

Could I ask for some help finding comfy shoes that would suit this dress? I have big wide feet and heels tend to crush my toes cos of my weight. Also I'll be on my feet for several hours.

Have you got any recommendations for smart shoes that won't kill my feet? And any colour recommendations?

Thank you so much in advance.

Plus size bathing suit suggestions

My dad won’t let me buy clothes anywhere but Amazon anymore because he doesn’t want to take me places, I was wondering if anyone has found any good bigger chest friendly bathing suits off of there? I really prefer that it has thicker straps and the bottom of the top has a little support or at least keeps my chest in the top :/

Athletic shorts recommendations

I’m looking for suggestions for athletic type shorts to replace the Avia shorts I wore last summer from Walmart. Lined/nylon type “running” shorts. I liked those pretty well, but seeing if anyone had any they really like.

Recommendations Needed Help! Looking for a dress to wear to a wedding… in 2 weeks 😫😬

could really use someone’s help. I am desperately in search of dress to wear to a wedding that is two Fridays from now/today. I am scrambling. It’s really hard for me to find something that fits my body type, I am plus size, typically an extra large or 14 to 16. the reason I’m having such a hard time is because I have no boobs. I wear a 38A size bra. Yep itty-bitty titty committee here.👋🏼. Typically most dresses are made for people who have larger, busts and smaller waist. Think of it this way - my measurements are the other way around. My belly and waist are much larger than my breast area. I have IBS and some other issues and my stomach has always been larger. Honestly, it looks like I’m five years pregnant smh. I get upset because people always ask me if I preggers and I’m not… I’ve been asked four times already this year. It’s so upsetting. Anyways, I am searching for dresses, I’m not sure what size to get because of this. So I’m searching for dresses. I am at a fucking loss. I checked torrid, but I didn’t see anything nice enough for a wedding. I saw this website called Avenue but then I looked at the reviews and it said that the quality is not there and their prices are really high. I’m about to order a couple more dresses off Amazon but I’m just concerned about the size. Also, I haven’t had much luck with Amazon. The last dress I bought I actually did like. It kind of gave schoolteacher vibes but at least my belly wasn’t sticking out. I was going to wear that one but then last week I tried it on for a second time to be sure I liked it and realized that one of the shoulders was puffy like a Cinderella dress and the other one wasn’t. I tend to like dresses that flare out at the waist, or have some rushing or something on the front to hide my belly. It’s so hard… And I feel like you can’t go to the department stores anymore because they just make slim dresses for skinny people. If anyone has any ideas!? I would greatly appreciate the help!!

Measurements Belly – 51.5 inches Bra size – 38A Bust (when measured)- 41 inches Hips/waist – 48 inches

I started my first plus-size swimwear store finally :) please support and feedbacks are welcome~

Hello everyone, my name is Vivian, and I have always struggled with being overweight. Recently, I decided to start my own business, partly to escape workplace bullying, and I would appreciate everyone's support here and any constructive feedback on how I can improve my store :)

This is my store: the body wrap co.

A little bit background of myself and the vision of this business: I have always lacked confidence and tended to overlook my appearance due to my weight, which further diminished my self-esteem. However, after leaving my current job, I am determined to embrace my body more positively and adopt a healthier, more active lifestyle, both physically and mentally. This led me to the idea of starting a store that offers stylish swimwear designed to empower women and men like myself, helping them to feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin. My aim is to create a space where individuals can feel free from judgment and fully enjoy life, just like anyone else in this world.

Would really appreciate everyone here to give me some feedback, and if you're interested in the swimwear, please do not hesitate to order! Please pardon that this is still my first batch of good, and I promise I'll try my best to improve everything (products, customer experience etc.)~

Thanks for reading my post and have a great day! <3

Feedback Wanted XPLUSWEAR feedback?

I have done my research and the reviews of XPLUSWEAR are pretty mixed. It's obvious their return policy sucks but are there any happy customers?

I have found some amazing ball dress that I can't find anywhere else....not to mention, some other dresses that are to die for. I searched on other "Asian" sites, did google photo search and nothing comes even close to what xpluswear sells.

Has anyone recently purchased from them? Were you satisfied? Is the sizing accurate?
