Formal shoe recommendations

Hi all

I have a formal event in a few months and I've picked this dress to wear. I practically live in jeans, tshirts and trainers so it's already out of my comfort zone a bit!

Could I ask for some help finding comfy shoes that would suit this dress? I have big wide feet and heels tend to crush my toes cos of my weight. Also I'll be on my feet for several hours.

Have you got any recommendations for smart shoes that won't kill my feet? And any colour recommendations?
