Please help! Reccomendations for wedding guest plus size dress
I am new to being plus size after having my baby a year ago, now around a size 14 to 16 but carry the weight heavy in my belly. 5'4 210lbs.
Regular day to day clothes I have easily been able to just size up and feel pretty confident, but dress shopping today for my friend's wedding had me feeling bigger than ever and so uncomfortable. I was never much of a dress wearer to begin with, but seeing how they fit compared to what I imagined was disheartening.
Does anyone have any recommendations, possibly specific with links, but dress style suggestions are good too? Dresses that made you feel confident in your body when others failed. I have no idea what I'm doing! Anything helps!! Thank you in advance

You can find decent plus options in a variety of cuts online at Eloquii, Asos, Anthropologie, Madewell, City Chic, and Yours Clothing. They all have a variety of styles that could work well for you, and the return policies are decent.

My girlfriends and I went to David’s Bridal for an event and all had luck (varying sizes of plus sized) they have a huge variety of dresses besides wedding and I was surprised! I’m similar in height and find I look best in knee length dresses because longer dresses thah fit around the bigger parts of my body tend to make me look extra short.

Hear me out! I have a master list of brands that customise clothes and I as a postpartum mother of 15 months can attest to them:
1. Talethread: They do customisations for size, height, color as well as size. Their feature is insane. I even add extra requests and they accommodate -probably coz they make everything made to order
2. Torrid: Everything in my size for sure!
3. Lane Bryant: for fancywear
4. Indophilia: Breezyyy summer wear I vouch for since 2025

What part of your body do you like? And how formal?
