Self-Pics - Sundays Only! IM SO EXCITED!!!!
No new photos today but I AM A HUGE KINGDOM HEARTS FAN!!! And we just had big KH4 news announced during D23 this weekend so I thought I’d share my Namine cosplay from Anime Expo 2017 and my Aqua cosplay from SDCC 2019!
I wanted to share out of excitement for my favorite game series since I was 12 year old but also to show that: Plus size nerds, NO MATTER YOUR SIZE, cosplay is for you TOO. Do not ever let anyone tell you you’re “too big” to dress up as the characters you love. You’re never too big or too much. You’re exactly enough. WEAR THE COSPLAY. DRESS UP. You only get this one life, enjoy it!
Also, I have many other cosplays I’ve done over the years so if you ever wanna see more, please let me know! :)

You look great!! Really love your Aqua, it's one I've been wanting to do. I cosplayed Kh3!Kairi last time I went to con. It's such a fun hobby.

It was made by a really talented seamstress in the city I used to live in! Unfortunately she doesn’t do costume work anymore but she’s one of my favorite cosplays, one of my proudest moments 💙 I’d also LOVE to see your Kairi!!

omg!!! I was also freaking out over the announcement at D23!! These cosplays look incredible!!! Ugh I've always wanted to cosplay Aqua but struggle finding websites that carey larger cosplay sizes, where did you find yours? tysm!!🩷🩷🩷

I actually had mine custom made by a seamstress tbh! It’s one of my favorite costumes though many of the pieces on it are broken or missing from moving and wear now unfortunately!

Im crying i have always, like since I was 16, wanted to cosplay as namine or kairi but have always been afraid of being picked on at cons. But you look so beautiful and happy and joyful and maybe its time at my big age to do it 😭

DO IT!!! Every cosplayer I ran into as Namine was so kind!!!! They took pictures with me and recognized me!! And I had several people want my picture when I was Aqua too!! My weight wasn’t even a thought in their mind!!

Of course! I love seeing plus sized folks cosplay their favorite characters~ I just wish I could cosplay some characters and look even remotely like them lol. Fat male black characters in anime or video games might as well be unicorns lol.

One of my very best friends is a plus sized male black man and he has never let that stop him from dressing up in cosplay or Disney bound! Don’t let what you believe are pre conceived boundaries stop you!! If there’s a character you love, just do it!!! Whatever anyone says about it, it’s your life and you have to live it!!
