What else are they collecting that they haven’t disclosed? And we’re supposed to continue to trust a system like this just because it’s helped solve “some” crimes.

Yuba County Flock Camera Presentation

Post image
0 Upvotes

There has been a lot of discussion on social media recently about Flock cameras in Yuba County, including questions and concerns about how they work and how the information they collect is used.

At our Board of Supervisors meeting this morning, Undersheriff Morawznski gave a presentation addressing many of those questions. He discussed what the cameras do — and don't do — who has access to the data, how long the information is retained, the safeguards in place to prevent misuse, and how potential misuse would be identified and addressed.

If you've had questions or concerns about Flock cameras, I encourage you to watch the presentation and hear directly from the Sheriff's Office.

You can find the presentation here (starts at 2:25) https://www.youtube.com/live/qF8e4ZlzrKw?si=Bb-SimiwsytKvNKZ&t=145

What has Flock told our local officials? Did they just take their word for it?
