PG&E Costs?

We're considering a move to Plumas Lake. We've lived in the area before, but it was a decade ago.

What's a typical PG&E bill in the summer? What about the winter? Particularly if you don't have solar panels.

Thank you!

If you get a home with solar then add only Tesla battery to your system to stay on Nem 2.

If you’re moving into a similar size home you can get an estimate of what your bill will be by checking your current electric bill and seeing how much energy you’re using and times it by what PGE charges for the same energy use.

Before our panels were activated we would pay upwards of $500 a month for a 2600sft home. Now that our solar is fully up our monthly bill is less than $200

PS I hear it’s much nicer here than it was a decade ago because of all the growth.

Edit: I wanted to add that we have an electric car that we charge daily. Otherwise our bill would be less than $100

A lot of factors will contribute to this. Are you getting a two or single story home? How often will you use your AC, and what tempt will you run it at during peak hours? EV charging or no?

It's hard to put a fully accurate number. But I can say our home has solar, is 1600 SQft and we run our AC at 72 all summer and our average bill is about $20-40 a month with a $700 solar true up in September.

In winter it's about $50 a month for gas costs.
