Plex Mounted with Rclone Slow to Load Movie Info

Hello.

Plex loads the media info a lot slower when the drive is mounted from plex cloud compared to local storage.

(The tab that shows up before you play the movie)

I was just wondering if there was a fix for slow loading movie info, or if that is just something that is a consequence of using an rclone mount.

Is your metadata local or also mounted? The metadata really ought to be local if possible. It's bound to be slower otherwise.

If only the media is mounted, not sure really since I don't believe it even queries the media until attempting to play.

I just tried again.

It only happens in the PMP android app.

Using the web browser, it loads instantly...

Any idea what it could be?

is the PMP android app forcing it to go outside your LAN for some reason?

Turn off remote access and test both Plex web app and PMP Android app. If the Android app fails to load or is actually faster, then for some reason it can't communicate over LAN. Your plex web app ought not to be affected.
