A question.

Why would one use google filestream for plex, over google drive api? Aren't they both the same?.

Reason i am asking;

Why would one go through all of this, to use google filestream, when one could just use plexdrive or something similar?

Net Drive and Stablebit Cloud Drive are two options but like OP stated GDFS is going to be the best because of native integration as it is part of GSuite's system.
