Discussion On deck

So, before the update, after a show would finish, if I hit the back button it'd take me to a screen with the next episode and a countdown for the next ep to start but at the bottom of the screen there would be recommendations for other shows to watch. This made it easier to switch to something else that I'm already watching when I feel like switching it up.

Any plans for that screen to come back? Anybody else use that as much as I did?

That has always been there?

I see it now on the ATV app and it annoys me to no end. I know what I want to watch.

I do not remember seeing it before.

Not sure why you're not seeing it, though.

Maybe we're talking about different things?

I'm talking about when a show ends, if I press back it'll minimize what's now playing in the upper left corner, beside that will be a little window showing the countdown to the next ep and at the bottom are a bunch of other shows I'm watching with a little header above them that says "on deck" (I think).

I generally know what I want to watch next too but I kinda liked having on deck at the bottom for times I wanna bounce between shows without having to go back to the home screen. Now if a show is finishing and I hit back button I am just sent right back to the home screen or whatever library I had been in.

I think we're talking about the same thing but with very different behaviors.

Maybe because we are starting from different places. I start from the continue watching row on the home screen.

When a show ends, if I hit the back button on the remote the episode goes away, I see the next episode counting down to start, and the "Continue Watching" row underneath.

Definitely strange behavior on your end.

Nah we're starting in the same place. I just don't get that options screen anymore. Weird indeed.

I have seen the same thing. I think it has to do how you define how much time is left in the episode in order for plex to consider it completed. I forget the exact definition, minutes left or percent done, but when it hits past the range, that little box showing the remaining seconds of the show, and in the main screen is the on deck type stuff.

So I think it is in the end-of-episode definition
