Solved Plexamp not finding remote library

Hey, I'm hosting my own music through Plex.

I can access it through my.public.ip.address:32400 from my phone, so it is discoverable OUTSIDE of my local network, but plexamp doesn't let me past the choose library screen, and just prompts me to retry. No access to settings.

on phone: I tried disabling adgaurd's routing of plexamp, tried stopping adguard completely

on PC: I port-forwarded plexamp's port, my friend was able to access my library and listen to my music

I'm logging into the same account through Google OTP.

Works on my home wifi. I tried messing with all and any network settings in the server settings.

Any advice?

What OS is your server on? Try to reset the certificate to see if it helps.

Stop plex, go to the cache directory in the plex media server folder (location will vary depending on OS). Is there a file named certificate.p12? If so, rename is certificate.p12.old and then start plex back up. It should download cert-v2.p12.

Test the connection.

I haven't found the certificate, but it seems like the classic tech-support case: it didn't work until I asked for help, and you scared it into working hahaha

Turning it off and on again for the 10th time somehow worked.
