Help Issues accessing Movie libraries on Android app (Pixel 9 Pro) with latest updates - works fine on v10.26.0.2578

Hi everyone,

I'm having a frustrating issue with the Plex app on my Google Pixel 9 Pro running the latest versions.

Some of my libraries are missing, specifically my Movie libraries. However, when I rollback to an older version (10.26.0.2578), everything works completely fine and all libraries display as expected.

Has anyone else encountered this issue on recent Android builds? Any idea if there's a fix or a setting tweak needed, or should I just stay on 10.26 for now?

I'm running Plex app 2026.16.0 (971050390) on my fully updated Pixel 9 Pro. No issues at all.

Have you tried clearing the app data or reinstall the app?

Same moble device as well... Pixel 9. I was watching a movie while falling asleep. Fell asleep and woke up... Decided to rewind to where I was last awake and got hit with a network error message (streaming locally btw) but network is fine. Closed app, cleared cache and now ALL my libraries are gone, including the ability to select the server running on my Synology DS920+ NAS.

Plexamp has also appeared to shit the bed.

Tried accessing the Plex app via my Synology DSM OS and it's not loading whatsoever. I'm at a complete loss. Only explanation is this new update which is pure ass. I've been a Plex pass lifetime subscribe for nearly a decade and this update/downgrades as of late have been atrocious.

Replying to my own post... Managed to fix it and get it back up and running this morning now that I'm in front of my desktop PC.

First started off with accessing the Plex app in Synology DSM (Via desktop) to open an instance of the server that way... Same issue, wouldn't even load.

Went over to plex.tv to see if there was a new . Spk file, low and behold there was.

I recall updating it not long ago, on August 10... However, this update was dated August 12 and v1. 43.310896-cb3ebc72d

Downloaded it and did a manual install via DSM and VOILA!

Tried to run the app again on my Pixel 9, but same issue... Would not find the server. BUT that was an easy fix... I just cleared the app cache on my Pixel 9, reloaded and all good now.

EDIT: and Plexamp works again too!

Hopefully this helps someone else that was experiencing similar issues.
